I put John O'Shea into all nearly all of my teams this year because of his past performances. Over the last four seasons O'Shea has scored 135 points or more per season, and this season he has already accumulated 70 points making him the eighth best defender in the FF League, yet he hardly ever picks up a 7+ because Fergie seldom, or never gives him a full game. I would like to ask the Man United fans what it is about him that Sir Alex doesn't like, and why he is only used as a Sub. I feel that if he was playing regularly then points wise he would be up there with Ferdinand.

I'd be getting loads of points if played with Rio regularly!

O'Shea has never been first choice although he has had extended runs in the side when there have been injuries.

Who would he play in place of?

Utd are fairly settled:

VDS
Neville, Vidic, Rio, Heinz/Evra
Ronaldo, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs
Rooney, Saha

If you come on as sub its hard to get 7/10!

Vidic, Rio, Heinze and Evra have all been drafted in while O'Shea was on the books, so it seems that Sir Alex only recognises him as a utility player. It doesn't say much for O'Shea that he is prepared to tolerate that roll and that he doesn't have the ambition to go where he would be guaranteed first team football. As an attacking defender he is one of the top players in the League. (when he plays that is).

When he first came in i thought he was going to be superb................. but he has not quite developed as i thought he might. His best games came at left back early on.

What would you do? Play for Charlton every week or play in front of 75,000 once in a while and earning more?

Oshea is only a utility player he comes on for last 10 minutes.
