The 2010/11 Fiso X1 Open Competition

This year we will be playing in the SL above for the trophy below . All teams will be public so everyone can see each others teams. So people have good reasons to be shite and lose they can enter a team with restrictions like no top 4 players, a block defence approach etc but it's up to you how you structure your team.

Last year we had 10 teams playing an open league, basically you post your thoughts and transfers into this league and all look to beat Razorback and the Woolster so it's not too challenging. , just a bit of fun, and is free to play.

I donated this trophy below and it was won by Yeboah and it has been engraved, hopefully this will pass onto each winner and get engraved along the way. (details here fiso-xi-league-t60964-630.html)

Confirmation of the FISO XI Open 2010/2011 Super League entrants;

1 Paul Hopkins Unhappy Fiso X1
2 David Tonkin Vid FISO XI
3 Kieran Matthews KIZ FISO X1
4 Iain Bruce Razorback FISO XI
5 Adrian Nelson The wee one too
6 David England Mystery FISO XI
7 Chris Beasley Pesto Del Footie
8 Kevin Wright nffc FISO open
9 Ross Banyard One team in Kent
10 Jonathan Stewart Agger Do Do Do
11 Ben Woolcock Woolster's FISO XI
12 Rob Poole Rob's reprobates 2

Just to confirm that I will be entering a team this season so anyone who fancies a shot at a pretty easy target shouldn't hesitate to join this semi-prestigious league  ...

 Sticking with a 3-5-2 formation for the entire season.
 No players from the top four (Chelsea, Manchester Utd, Arsenal & Li...Tottenham).
 All transfers must be used by the end of 2010.
 Blackpool block defence.
 All of the above.

The Super League prize money has dropped significantly this season (£5,000  £1,000) therefore a team in the main FISO league will only, at best, be picking up £200.

Personally I think it's worth setting up a separate Super League for the FISO XI Open as it will make posting the league table a lot less time consuming plus we'd all have immediate (& up to date  ) access to each others line-ups. What do the rest of you think :?: ...

Please enter this Rust.

I think a separate SL is a good idea. I will set one up and post the details in the first post.

Some good ideas there RB, will have to be an open SL for us to check teams are complying with the rules. At least we will all have the same handicap so the woolly one can't blame his ineptitude on his own starting restrictions.

So what shall we do. I quite like the top 4 or just no Chelsea/Man U/Arsenal restriction one.

Team entered but probably won't be the starting line-up (unless I forget to change it)

Errr...the restrictions are ones the Woolster wants to impose on himself (I'm perfectly capable of handicapping my teams in my own unique way   ). If you want a restriction based league then there's the Egg Cup or Block Party leagues, this league is a straight forward single entry open league where we are at the very least trying our best to finish as high up the overall leaderboard as possible.

I agree that any teams need to select the 'open' option when joining this league but only so we can see each team's line-up at any given time...

RB - Oh ! Got the wrong end of the stick there.

I don't mind, no one will know what (if any) restrictions were in place once my name is on that trophy.

Did you have any last year RB ?

Well not wanting to bruise your ego was certainly one of them  .

So to clarify, this is a straight forward league but if you want to set restrictions of your own choosing on your team only that's perfectly acceptable...

Not entering this season for various reasons (largely, TFF's a little too labour intensive imho).

Good luck all that do enter, all the same!

With the Block Party league now full, and I only had to use 1 team. I have a spare team so will enter it here - in the Professionals League.

It'll give me something to aspire too  (the wooden spoon awaits - no restrictions necessary  )
