THE FISO LEAGUE FPL KNOCKOUT CUP 2007
Brought to you by Jonathan and RomynPG :)

PLEASE NOTE THE TIE-BREAK AMENDMENT TO RULE NUMBER 1

Image

CURRENT HOLDERS: Westie
RUNNERS UP: lucan jerry

Remaining Gameweek rounds are as follows:
Round 4 Gameweeks 8 & 9
Last 16 Gameweeks 10 & 11
Quarter Finals Gameweeks 12 & 13
Semi-Finals Gameweeks 14 & 15
Final Gameweeks 16 & 17

PLEASE NOTE THE TIE-BREAK AMENDMENT TO RULE NUMBER 1

Competition Rules
The team with the most points scored over the two legs progresses to the next round. Points lost through multiple transfers WILL NOT be taken into account. So, carry out as many transfers as you wish, however….

… if scores are level after the round then the following criteria will be used to determine the winner of the tie:

1. Transfers. A team with the LEAST number of total transfers made across both GWs of the tie, will progress to the next round. PLEASE NOTE: A Gameweek where the Wildcard is played will count as a single transfer.
2. Goals. If transfers can’t separate the two, then the team that scores the most number of GOALS across both GWs of the tie, will proceed to the next round.
3. Bench. If by some horrible quirk of fate the teams are still level then the team whose BENCH scores the most number of points across both GWs, will progress to the next round.
4. Toss. If scores are still level at this point, the lovely Mrs Riddle will toss me, errr, a coin, with the team name that comes first alphabetically being Heads.

I hope this is all clear. For a full and comprehensive list that matches FISO Names with their teams in The Elite take a look HERE! Thanks Spencer4!

Jonathan

There we go then! Round 4 draw made. Sorry for the lack of preview and reviews of the ties - just haven't got the creative juices this year! We still have two FISO unknowns in the competition - so at least we are doing a good job of seeing them all off!

Good luck all. :D

Good luck on that front DaPumpkin... an excellent turnaround last week for sure. Nice to see that we actually have a good few FISO names and regular posters left in there, too. Not guaranteed when just about everyone in the FISO league is initially entered.

With only 9 points seperating them, Lythgoe's Disciples v Whores wi nae Bling will be a tough tie

Good luck to you too,,, I see a lot of similarities between our teams. So I think that this week's transfer, team selection, and captaining choice will be crucial.

Not to mention, Liverpool defense vs. Liverpool offence,,, which is highly influenced by the Rafa factor!! (More on me than on you)

True - I fear this is the week their offence could suddenly spark, I think they won 4-0 at Wigan after a bad run of form last season. It just depends whether your players are actually on the pitch at the time , though I'm sure at least Gerrard will be :?.

I still remember this fixture from last season,,, I remember very well that Gerrard and Bellamy were the match heros,,, so I wonder if Rafa will take the same approach against them again this year by unleashing Gerrard and the new Bellamy from the start

I think it's safe to say I've been knocked out. I've had an absolutely dreadful week so far. In danger of being tossed over the ropes on the royal rumble too.

I'm on 30 and Gakikame is on 70!

Round 4, 1st leg table is now posted earlier in the thread. Some chunky scores all round, with 4 teams in the 70s, topped by the 75pts amassed by Hairybear's Mr Bigstuff - an inspired captaincy choice of Lescott!

Padrock's early fears of losing the tie in the first leg look as though they may have some substance, as he knocks in the lowest score of 35pts, compared to the FISO unknown of Gakikame's 72pts. Come on padrock.. we need FISO names through! boomer181 is also currently down in his tie with the other unknown, Potestas, but the scores there are much closer (59pts v 52pts).

Some ties are as good as over, some could tip either way, but none more so than FC Bruno 47pts v 46pts FingerPass. Excited?

Good luck all... last week coming up before those pesky international breaks! May your captains (Fabregas v Sunderland ) be with you!

Think I'm through after a two-point win in the second leg to add to my narrow advantage from last week. A close tie LC, could have gone either way.

Well, Round 4 2nd leg scores are in (thanks Romyn).

A couple of teams managed to turn their ties around in the second leg. Zulus (Zuluwarrior) found their opponents too heavy, and lost their 12pt lead to Motorhead (Pete Tabs) thus losing the tie by a single point, and Stellar (boomer181) had a Basil Brush moment and saw off one of the two remaining FISO Unknowns by turning a 7pt deficit into a 2pt victory. Well done! Just Gakikame to get rid of in the Last 16!

One point of interest. After Leg 1, Scythes (FC Bruno) and Tengy's Little Elves (FingerPass) were on 47 v 46 after last week, and amazingly both scored the same as each other in the second leg, so FC Bruno scythes his way through to the last 16, with a 1pt victory.

Mr Bigstuff (Hairybear) backed up his big first leg score with another one this week, so poor old DaPumpkin must be feeling a bit of a squash! However, top scorer this Round with 160pts is Lythgoe's Disciples (dalythgoe) after following up the first leg score of 76pts with an 84pt GW, ensuring a 34pt margin of victory over the tastefully name Whores wi nae Bling (aldo1). We can only all dream of reaching those dizzy heights. Nice work!

Last 16 draw to following shortly.

Well it's been a wonderful run to fill the clubs coffers but it's come to an end  ...thanks Jonathan for the effort. Best of luck to bionika in the last 16.

Full-time:
Robots in Disguise
117 - 127 The Little Toerags

Image

The Robots in Disguise's run in the cup comes to a crashing end, at the hands of the evil Little Toerags! After amassing a 9pt lead in the first leg, the Toerags consolidated the win thanks to a fine perfrormance from their captain, "The Winking Toerag", Ronaldo. The robot captain, Fabregas-Prime, was completely outgunned by the winker, and despite a monumental effort by Robot Van Persie to turn the tie around, it wasn't enough and the Toerags won by 10.

The Robots lie in flames strewn about the pitch, whilst the Toerags stride off into the next round!

Good luck to the Toerags, and the rest of the teams in the last 16

Transform and roll out!
