THE FISO LEAGUE FPL KNOCKOUT CUP 2007
Brought to you by Jonathan and RomynPG :)

PLEASE NOTE THE TIE-BREAK AMENDMENT TO RULE NUMBER 1

Image

CURRENT HOLDERS: Westie
RUNNERS UP: lucan jerry

Remaining Gameweek rounds are as follows:
Quarter Finals Gameweeks 12 & 13
Semi-Finals Gameweeks 14 & 15
Final Gameweeks 16 & 17

PLEASE NOTE THE TIE-BREAK AMENDMENT TO RULE NUMBER 1

Competition Rules
The team with the most points scored over the two legs progresses to the next round. Points lost through multiple transfers WILL NOT be taken into account. So, carry out as many transfers as you wish, however….

… if scores are level after the round then the following criteria will be used to determine the winner of the tie:

1. Transfers. A team with the LEAST number of total transfers made across both GWs of the tie, will progress to the next round. PLEASE NOTE: A Gameweek where the Wildcard is played will count as a single transfer.
2. Goals. If transfers can’t separate the two, then the team that scores the most number of GOALS across both GWs of the tie, will proceed to the next round.
3. Bench. If by some horrible quirk of fate the teams are still level then the team whose BENCH scores the most number of points across both GWs, will progress to the next round.
4. Toss. If scores are still level at this point, the lovely Mrs Riddle will toss me, errr, a coin, with the team name that comes first alphabetically being Heads.

I hope this is all clear. For a full and comprehensive list that matches FISO Names with their teams in The Elite take a look HERE! Thanks Spencer4!

Jonathan

Better late than never - quarter final draw above. The task of maintaining the integrity of The FISO Fantasy League FPL Knockout Cup 2007 falls to BLOUFO this week, whose Thierryless XI have been drawn against the one remaining FISO Unknown.

Elsewhere, the FISO big boys have managed to avoid each other, with the highest rated FISO League team Hairybear, managed by Mr Bigstuff drawing Martlets Albion, managed by albionjulie. Hammered's FISO League 4th placed team, A Bag of Chewynuts! have drawn baldicoot's Tootie Footies and the remaining tie sees top scorer of the last round, Motorhead (Pete Tabs) take on our barry's IblameFlyman.

Great to see regular FISO posters still in there, and even better that we have some highly placed FISO leaguers still battling it out.

Good luck all - and may your captains be with you!

ooooooo.... it's closer than Mr & Mrs Close from Close Town on a cold winter's night, after the first leg of the Quarter Finals of THE FISO LEAGUE FPL KNOCKOUT CUP 2007!

But, best news of all, it seems that BLOUFO is handling the pressure extremely well after being handed the task of knocking out the one remaining FISO Unknown. Thierryless XI take a 28pt lead into the weekends 2nd leg matches.

Elsewhere, as said earlier, the other ties couldn't be much closer. Mr Bigstuff hold a slender 2pt leader over Marlets Albion, and Motorhead hold exactly the same lead over IblameFlyman. Tootie Footies are doing much, much better though, with a mammoth 3pt leader over A Bag of Chewynuts! With the standard so high, I am glad I went out in the early stages! I couldn't have fixed the draw much better if my name was Kieren.

Great work everybody - may your captains be with you to take you into the Semi Finals!

 Semi finals here I come!!

2pts behind after 1st leg currently 57 - 46 in my favour, Pete Tabs has Fabregas and Adebayour to come......... but so do I (+ Almunia) so I reckon I'm through unless Almunia gets -10.

good game PT. :D

Well, it may have taken 7 rounds to do it, but we are finally FISO Unknown free! BLOUFO's Thierryless XI handled the pressure and safely ejected Gakikame with a 119 v 103 victory. BLOUFO! BLOUFO! BLOUFO! The overall winning margin was reduced in the 2nd leg - but the most important thing is - BLOUFO won!

Elsewhere, after extremely close 1st leg scores, only one team that held a slender lead going into the 2nd leg held onto victory. Mr Bigstuff, managed by Hairybear increased his initial 2pt lead to a whopping 7pts - taking the tie against Marlets Albion, and moving into the semi-finals 113 v 106. Hard luck albionjulie, and well done for keeping your hot form up, Hairybear.

barry ensured that Flyman still has a chance of being in the final (albeit by name only), as his IblameFlyman team turned a 2pt deficit into an 11pt victory, beating Pete Tab's Motorhead 139 v 128. Nicely done, barry. Better luck next season, Pete.

And, finally, baldicoot's Tootie Footie's threw away a 3pt 1st leg lead, and ended up losing to Hammered's A Bag of Chewynuts! by 14pts, with the tie ending up 132 v 118. Hard luck baldicoot, but well done Hammered.

Semi-final draw to follow shortly. Bet you can hardly wait! :?
