COMPETITION RULES

This is a Gameweek score competition, therefore the team with the most points scored over the two legs progresses to the next round. Under normal circumstances, points lost through multiple transfers WILL NOT be taken into account, so carry out as many transfers as you wish. However, for tiebreak purposes, transfers will be taken into account. Use of the Wildcard counts as a single transfer for that purpose.

TIEBREAK RULES

If scores are level after the round then the following criteria will be used to determine the winner of the tie:
1. Transfers: A team with the LEAST number of total transfers made across both GWs of the tie, will progress to the next round. PLEASE NOTE: A Gameweek where the Wildcard is played will count as a single transfer.

2. Goals: If transfers can’t separate the two, then the team that scores the most number of GOALS across both GWs of the tie, will proceed to the next round.

3. Bench: If by some horrible quirk of fate the teams are still level then the team whose BENCH scores the most number of points across both GWs, will progress to the next round.

4. Toss: If scores are still level at this point, I will toss a virtual coin email the results to a trusted FISOer and ask the first replying participant to call.

The 1st Round (last 512) Draw

The qualifiers have qualified. The 512 are known.

With 512 entrants this is not the time for fancy graphics they will come in later rounds. Maybe. Such is the number of teams Ctrl F + your Fiso name or team name in the search field is probably the best way to locate yourself.

We have noted that the final is scheduled for around the busy Christmas time and what with holiday etc we may carry the last round or two over until the new year.

Well taking each tie in turn...maybe not.

Last years winner Flyman starts his defence with a tricky tie against old hand and consistent performer CarlosTheFinger. SunderlandFan last years runner up will have to get past Perivar if one better than last year is to be this years goal.

The 07 winner Barry tries to make it 2 in 3 years with a tie against ludermore

With 145 points and currently top of the FISO league Burton is the one to avoid but Fisgig209 has not managed that and has a tricky first round tie.

ANGRY ALIEN has to get past atx1303 who was 3rd last year in the world - but he will surely be pointing out his current form which seems him above his opponent.

Elsehwere there are some regular FISO poster match ups - Sorbiegunner -v- Mystery and Fancydan -v- ZipNolan to just single out a couple.

I am currently holding a 15pt lead going into tonight's final first leg game. jonesbones has Gerrard to play, but I do have Glen Johnson. A miracle performance from Gerrard is needed I think.

Just 71 -v-34 down myself - but my opponent (Si Horse) does not have Gerrard - a quick double hatrick from Gerrard tonight and he will be in trouble.

1. A 45 points win is nothing to be pleased about.
2. Britinus had his house burgled I think and his computer, phone and misc other electronics stolen. He couldn't even access the web for some 10 days or so...
