Ok folks I'm sure you'll be glad to hear that I'll be launching the FISO Champions League 2008 competition very soon. Lovely_Camel as defending champ is particularly pleased no doubt. I'm taking over the admin from Jonathan as he was feeling a bit jaded by the end of last season after organising the two big Cups.

Last year's format (seen here) worked very well so I don't plan on changing much. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I do plan to try and impose a 64 team limit though to ease on admin. However if there is way more interest than that I might squeeze people in by a pre-lim qualification round purely done on a latecomer basis. No seeding here. ;) There are no guarantees of that though.

Anyway, I'll post the competition thread later, but for now people can sign up in this thread.

* All details of the admin of this comp are subject to change depending on the numbers involved and a whim of the admin. :wink:

Take a look through last year's thread here for a general idea. Basically everyone who signs up is entered into a Champions League style competition using their FPL team, with your team's score each week used to decide the results of the matches. Don't know if you've read any of the other side game threads but it's essentially the same as the Knockout Cup game that recently finished, only with a CL format instead of being a straight knockout comp.

It was one of the best side-comps last year so well worth sigining up to. :wink:
