11. RVP to VDV. 4 for1 (0) opportunity

...top scoring NB :D I have to say when I saw your Ba transfer and your current team I almost brought out the white flag - that team looks immense on current form. Unless something untoward happens I can see you sailing off into the distance over February.

Not that it bothers me as I'm just intent on avoiding relegation at the moment

I thought two Liverpool at the back could be a handicap for NB over the next weeks. Spurs - Man Utd - no game but he came through the first with a CS (unlucky re Enrique).

I think I need a plan as I have too much spare cash and no real thoughts as to how to use it. I like all 7 of my attackers but probably ought to get a third forward. Tricky with the way the cup exits have fallen, Rooney, Aguerro and Ba emphasising that confusion this weekend.

Ledge - you obviously don't consider my place in this league is under threat then ?

Murf - Apologies for the intrusion :P and I know you just put him in but Larsson looks to me to be your weak link, when SFC get knocked out and MU have had their tough run Rooney looks your best chance (especially as Ledge can't have him) but it would have to be for Sess as you are otherwise 0.2m short.

I feel that re Larsson too and half regret picking him. Will be an easy decision if Boro beat them tomorrow....

I may also need to tweak my defence slightly and really wanted some cash for that. Taking that into account, a Ba range forward or selling a better midfelder for a Rooney range forward would be more sensible. I need a plan...

I love the Fergie kidology in this league! It is far from over and Ledge and HH have no prospect of relegation!

People keep saying Swans will definitely stay up. I am saying we still need 3 more wins. I am not counting any chickens yet.

NB The Ledge doesn't think he's going down, he's just taking the piss put of me thinking that I do but I only have 12t no Bale and 2 dodgy defenders it is but no means a foregone conclusion.

Real life isn't like Southampton FC. A season doesn't have to end in either a trophy (happy) or relegation (unhappy)

In this league based on my experience I believe it does!

A transfer today:

Friedal

Warnock
Walker
Dunne
Sessengon

Van der Vart  Silva
Bale
Mata

Adebayor
van Persie
Aguero

Budget 48.2
Transfers left 15

Reason

Defensive looking downwards move. Need to do something about these useless Villa defenders but hard to know who to go for. Had thought of going Spurs block last Monday but fixtures but me off. Would have been looking good!

Into the top half of the table this morning. Never doubted I'd move up when it mattered.

Snap - all the options have fixture issues.

Maybe we'll still get an O'Shea for Warnock today? Dreaming...

Didn't imagine I'd be in the top half of the league so soon after being bottom. No closer to the top in terms of points though.

3-4-3  4-3-3
Team value: 48.5m  48.5m
Transfers: 14

Reason for changes:
Knee-jerk panic time - again!
Third draft restricted it to just the three changes, at one point I was at seven!
Went for three players no-one else has, which has to be the way in my current position.

Transfer history:
pre val to baines
pre luiz to jones
1. Hernandez to Torres
2. Vermaelen to Arteta
3. Torres to Van Persie
4. Young to Cleverley
5. Yaya to Silva
6. Cleverley to Pilkington
7. Hangeland to Riise

Reason for Transfer(s)
Probably won't play today [he did though :D ] and no game next week but still better than Warnock....
Transfer History

Reason for Transfer(s):
Think Ox has had his day and now Gervinho is back may not play as much so Bale comes in.
Clichy out for Walker to raise cash, plus Spurs still in FA Cup (at time of posting :) ).

Think I owe a transfer report here. Think it was Glichy for Enrique. Will check later when I'll be making some more!

Confirming last week's transfer and adding a couple more

Egging On Mystery
Hart
Luiz > Jones
Clichy > Enrique (last week)
Walker
Bale
Dempsey
Sessegnon
Mata
Adebayor
Sturridge > Rooney
Van Persie

Value £49.4m
Transfers left 12

Reasons: Glichy not playing anything like enough so took an extra game from Enrique. Sturridge and Luiz were never long term picks so back come Jones & Rooney

P Bale > Dempsey - missing fixture, then difficult ones
P Hernandez > Bent - injury
1 Vermaelen > Adam - 3-5-2 - injury
2 Valencia > SWP - value and lost patience!
3 Bent > Rooney - form
4 Luiz > P Jones - replacing bench warmer
5 Suarez > Aguero - slightly defensive tinker
6 Adam > Adebayor - value and formation change
7 Toure > Mata - lack of form / tinker
8 Hangeland > Walker - poor value / cash raising
9 SWP > Milner - he's still a 2pt a week man!
10 Young > Bale - injury / bench warming
11 Aguero > RvP - must have and possible extra fixtures
12 De Gea > Hart - benchwarming / injury
13 Jones > Luiz - short term injury but extra fixtures
14 Rooney > Sturridge - short term injury but extra fixtures
15 Milner > Sessegnon - extra fixtures / benchwarming
16 Glichy > Enrique - benchwarming
17 Sturridge > Rooney - season long pick returning
18 Luiz > Jones - season long pick returning
