Rules and guides

1. The template for your starting X1 is Alan Hansen's XI (or other TFF nomination). You can change to any of the formations available as long as you comply with Rule 2 beneath.

2. You must make at least one and no more than two changes to this team by midnight on Thursday 12th August 2009 to allow me and the other league chairman enough time to check that all teams are in order for the start of the season on the 14th August. Invalid teams may have to be excluded or a transfer penalty imposed (making an enforced transfer) so please pay special care to getting your team correct, it is after all very easy. The Hansen team will be frozen at midnight Friday 6th August (any changes he makes after this date will not count).

3. You must enter your team in the superleague as soon as possible. You do not need to have made your changes at this stage - only to have entered a team. I will distribute, as will the other league chairman, the league name and password by PM to all the players.

4. Tables will be posted as and when available and at least weekly, chairman please ensure this happens but anyone can do it (usually the leaders are quick to ).

5. Post your starting team in the following way and use this as a template for any transfers you make during the competition (this is - edit - now Hansens starting team, and below is an example of the template format):-

Reasons for Transfers :-
Want RVP in from the start and Rooney is going to sulk all year.

Note if people want to keep a record of their transfers as they go along please list these under the main template, keep the main template clean for the current transfers you are doing.

6. The egg competition is an open, friendly and fun competition. If everyone posts transfers as they should on a timely basis (same day or before next scheduled kick off) then there will be no problems, everything will run smoothly. If you feel it will not be possible to do this then please think about whether this competition is for you as it is very frustrating for others who do comply to see others not. So for this year I have reluctantly introduced a rule for this. The chaiman of each league will check teams online each week and note unreported changes, these will be logged then after 3 strikes an enforced transfer (back to the player transfered but not reported) must be made, then any future non reporting will lead to relegation or withdrawal. This rule is subject to the discretion of each league chairman.

7. Following the start of the season manage your team in the normal way.

8. The leagues will be open so that everyone can see everyone else's teams so make sure you make your team PUBLIC when you create it.

9. Your team name must include your FISO name and some reference to eggs, eggcups etc after that be creative !

10. Each league contains 12 players and there will be a 3 up, 3 down promotion and relegation at the end of the season.

11. The winner of each league wins a bespoke egg cup donated and made by Cherylhoney or offspring. Also the winners of each league will choose a charity each for cherylhoney to do a run (or bike ride!).

12. There will be a cup competition which runs automatically alongside the league competition. I will announce the weeks for the cup competition when all the leagues have been finalised or when I get round to it.

13. Above all, enjoy yourselves, have a bit of banter and may the best man or woman win.

It's the same as Hansen's in the first post, mine has been ready for ages!

Rule amendment :-

The Hansen team will be frozen at midnight Friday 6th August (any changes he makes after this date will not count).

A week before the start of the season? Why? Community Shield and internationals before 1st KO, along with transfers out of the EPL we could be facing having to make 4 or 5 transfers after 17th just to have 11 players. Midnight on 13th makes more sense.

Everyone is in the same boat so no one is advantaged or disadvantaged. It is the beauty or frustration of the competition that we have to sort out his mess.

My reasoning is that everyone has more or less a week to react to the team making allowances for holidays. If it was as you suggest then people would have just 1 day.

I'm just trying to be fair to as many players with differing circumstances.

And valid teams need to be reported by midnight Thursday 12th anyway so teams can be checked by the chairman. Rule 2.

Note this is Hansen's Revised Team which, if it stays unchanged til midnight, will be your new and final starting point.

Any teams submitted on the original Hansen team are invalid and must be changed to the revised Hansen line up.

I presume by "in format" you don't mean a picture but rather the usual "egg" way of showing your transfers. I know this is a daft question but I'm just making sure.

Spiny - Just post as per the template in Rule 5. Up to you as chairman if you want to nag the non conformers, I'm leaving it from now on to the League Chairman to run their leagues, PM me if need be but rules are simple enough.

No probs. As you say it is plain enough, I was just confusing myself.

Reasons for Transfers

Replacing injury doubt Torres & the infamous BAE with Boselli & Lampard gives this team a half decent midfield & forward line, will no doubt need to use at least two (& quite possibly three) transfers to get that defence sorted out early doors & subsequently have this league's title in the bag by xmas .
