BRIBERY ALERT

Pringles are trying to buy your votes with an, admittedly excellent, ploy of giving a 'Buy One Get Two Free' on their lovely crisp like snacks at Tesco.

Alas, no sign of Parika or S&V in the offer so I just got 2 Sour Cream & Chive (or whatever it is - the gree one) and an experimental 'Roast Turkey' flavour. Too late to nominate there though.....

A great offer - distillers please take note.

Pringles are EVIL. The reason that "once you pop you can't stop" is that they're full of MSG - a chemical that makes you want to keep eating them endlessly. To make matters worse they are the most fatty out of any crisp.

Of course I like eating them myself  and sorry for being a prude - But In all honesty they should be banned

Really tricky tie

I can see some tough ties. For me the Qtr finalists will be
Frazzles
Wotsits - Cheesy
Cheesy Quavers
doritos - Chilli Heatwave
Walkers Cheese & Onion
Monster Munch Pickled Onion
Nik Naks - scampi & lemon
Skips (Prawn Cocktail)

This could all change though and is no predictor of how I may vote

I've just caught this thread. I'm an old codger, so I'm not quite up to date with all the new fangle dangle crisps. I've grown up with the mass expansion of crisp flavour and chemical tongue tricking. From 3 flavours to the thousands nowadays I would love the cup to be named after the pioneers of the market. I haven't done any googling, and I'm reverting back to the good old days when we relied on our memory and experience. I think the Cup could be named The Tudor World Cup. Anybody know the history of crisp flavouring?

No - but I am going to hit you with a quite astonishing fact. The woman responsible for invention of picked onion flavoured Monster Munch was also responsible for the invention of strawberry flavoured Angel Delight.

Incidently a friend of mine's dad invented crackerbread.

After a quick google, maybe it should be named the Crum World Cup.

And quite shockingly I might have to go against my puritan principles and vote for the puffed up chemisnack over the crisp

With under 24 hours to go:

It looks like the Champions, Frazzles are going through to meet either Wotsits or Beef Monster Munch. Just two in it between these two.

Quavers have smashed their Cheesy Doritos enemy and will almost certainly have another Doritos in the QFs, the Chilli Heatwave.

The other Doritos are struggling to match the Walkers C&O, who look like being the only 'normal' Walkers in the QFs, as the Pickled Onion Monster Munch have it all sewn up against the Walkers S&V.

The scampi Nik Naks have a slight lead over the Hula Hoops and will probably play the Thai Sweet Chilli, leading the Skips by three.

Walkers - Smoky Bacon 43% [ 15 ]
Frazzles 57% [ 20 ]

Monster Munch - Roast Beef 53% [ 18 ]
Wotsits - Cheesy 47% [ 16 ]

Doritos - Tangy Cheese 29% [ 9 ]
Quavers - Cheese 71% [ 22 ]

Discos - Salt 'N' Vinegar 37% [ 11 ]
Doritos - Chilli Heatwave 63% [ 19 ]
--------------------------------------------
Walkers - Cheese & Onion 69% [ 22 ]
Doritos - Cool Original 31% [ 10 ]

Monster Munch - Pickled Onion 67% [ 22 ]
Walkers - Salt & Vinegar 33% [ 11 ]

Nik Naks - Scampi & Lemon 56% [ 18 ]
Hula Hoops - Original 44% [ 14 ]

Skips - Prawn Cocktail 45% [ 15 ]
Sensations - Thai Sweet Chilli 55% [ 18 ]

It really will be a struggle to carry on now that Wosits have been knocked out.

But enough of that, lets here it for Quavers. :D

Everyone else has terrible taste in crisps obviously. Only Frazzles and PO Munch were my picks.

Nuts I tells ye.
