Evening all!

Just found out that there is a new series of the Apprentice starting next week. Not sure I can conjur up the enthusiasm to sit through it, although as a rule it's my favourite reality tv show. It seems a little too soon to be starting it all over again. The twist this time apparently, is that instead of the candidates competing to earn a 6 figure salary working for LAS, this time they are competing for a £250k prize.

The candidates are shown below - most of the women look rather frightening.

Apprentice 2011 burdz
Apprecntice 2011 the blokes

Leon Doyle looks like a character out of a Charles Dickens book!

Anyone else going to watch it? Or is it too soon to be going through it all again.......

Most of them look deranged to me.

For some reason I don't think the Jarvis Cocker lookie-likie is going to win.

She says she enjoys reading in her spare time. I thought she had no spare time as she works 24/7?

"I enjoy reading" on a CV is so 1990's.

Everyone knows that nowadays you should have "going to the gym" in it's place.

In the 6 months that I worked in recruitment I would say more than 80% of the CV's I read had it on there :)

There's a twist on the twist. Heard on the radio today that the winner will start their own business with Sugar as a partner investing 250k of his own money into his 'Apprentice'.

Starts tonight btw, first episode is a 2 parter (tonight/tomorrow).

The first two look like they've had face reconstruction surgery that's gone wrong. Number 3 is all right. The brunettes all look the same. And that's just the boys

Maybe it would be a better programme if they were used to test new torture ideas\equipment?

Irish guy (Soup Man) was the only one that stood out last night. Couple of real muppets but no-one else really showing any promise yet.

As ever, the 'you're fired' show outshone the main show by a good margin.

The guy who got canned was actually quite funny. I would have liked to see him in a few more shows purely for the amusement factor. Public Enemy #1 for me is the HR bird - far too serious and seems pretty thick, a control freak and looks like she would be a nightmare to work with.

The Oriental girl and the Irish guy were the two picks of the bunch for me last night.

Do you mean Human Resources? (definitely my quote of the week when she felt the need to point out what HR stood for)!!!
