TFF2009-10 FISO Two Foot Challenge * £22 Cash League *

Have you ever wished, perhaps within a few weeks of the season starting, that you had more than a solitary team in a prize game?

Well, the Two Foot Challenge, a dual team cash league, may be the one to test different game strategies.
And if you hit the right formula, you could extend interest in the competition all the way through the season...

For info, an inaugural cash version, based on the Telegraph Champions League, attracted 20 managers & 40 teams in spring 2009: tffe-2009-champions-league-game-10-fiso-prize-league-t55859-132.html
To date, more than half have responded to a PM to say they would be interested in a TFF version.

In summary:

- each FISO manager can enter two TFF teams
- super league entry costs £22 in total
- total fund will be redistributed as prizes at end of season
- deadline for fee to clear is Wed 12 August

Full SL rules are in third post below.

Telegraph game link: http://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk

Participants are advised to review the message from FISO admin regarding private super leagues here:

League Rules

The competition is based on the Telegraph Fantasy Football 2009-10 game:
http://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk

- season begins at 1245 BST on Saturday 15 August 2009

- each manager must submit TWO teams

- FISO super league entry fee is £22 in total (ie, for two XIs)

- payment options are cheque or online bank transfer only

- fee must clear by noon on Wed 12 Aug

- FISO league password will be distributed by Private Message

- please add two sides ASAP afterwards; transfer amnesty runs to first kick-off

- team name should include FISO ID if this isn’t easily linked to your surname

- team view option will be OFF, ie: no one can see any other manager’s players

- funds will be fully redistributed as prizes at end of season in May 2010

- exact split will be based on number of entries

Please post below:

- if you are interested in playing; state payment preference: online or cheque;
do include real name so that fee is more easily identifiable
- if you would like to raise any query
(PM will be used for sensitive data, eg: exchanging bank info; home postal address)

The second post above is being updated with the list of entrants & payment status.

Good luck.

----------------------------

Edit below provides details of Premium Bonds and Superleague Prizes (as posted in this thread on 19 Sept)

Premium Bonds

Bonds were purchased on 31 Aug to the value of £352 (16 managers x £22 entry fee).
*** number range is 159LW 283 001 to 159LW 283 352 ***

These are eligible for monthly lottery draws from 1 Oct 2009 to 1 May 2010.
Returns totalling £500 or more (across whole season) will be split equally by all managers.
Any smaller win can be used to boost the following year's super league prize fund.

Prizes Confirmation

1) If SL is fortunate enough to finish in top three nationally, the resultant cash award will be shared equally by first five teams in final super league table

2) Super league prize split of £352 fund:

- £200, £80, £40 to top three teams of the 32 in league

- £32 to team with most points in second half* of season (weeks 21 to 40)
* easier to run than a knockout cup contest, bearing in mind some managers have similar-named sides

I'm a glutton for punishment so count me in. Bank transfer please.

You would like to think that by entering two teams, one of them will at least perform well. Knowing my luck, both my teams will end up on identical points

Ooh, this dual team contest is intended to complement - not replace - the other FISO cash leagues.
Its main aim is to enable a manager to test different team strategies with a view to increasing interest through to season's end.

The TFF£25 is the flagship competition...

Entrants are requested to use PMs only for critical stuff. Otherwise imagine five to ten PMs of correspondence multiplied by 100, ie, the number of successful and failed entrants in last year's TFF£25 contest, and you get the picture.

When expressing interest in the competition, please post something like the following in this thread:
admin - Chris King - bank transfer

Thanks.

Thanks, Keith; PM with bank info is on way.

Note to anyone still considering entry: deadline for fee to clear is Wed 12 Aug.
Practically speaking, this means:

- cheque should arrive by Fri 7 Aug post

- online transfer should be initiated before Sat 8 Aug

The gap before the season begins will be used to finalise prize splits, etc.

Hi John: prize distribution will be based on Dual Duel 2009 TFFE Champions League game, as mentioned in first post:
tffe-2009-champions-league-game-10-fiso-prize-league-t55859-132.html

For info, awards were made to the top three of 40 teams last spring.

For this Two Foot Challenge, exact split will be based on number of entries.

Input is always welcome: the few days after entries close and before season starts will be used to finalise awards.
