My apologies ....
What I meant to say was that the NTI thresholds are reset at each gameweek, i.e. if a player has already made one 0.1 rise at X NTI, but not made enough to make two in the same GW at a further (X x 2) NTI, the NTI threshold is reset to X NTI at the start of the next GW.
Therefore, players have a propensity to rise in price on the first day of a new gameweek.

...and I thought I confused people

Still ...it's Friday

Carlos Tevez trained with his new Manchester United team-mates for the first time on Friday - and Sir Alex Ferguson has pencilled him in for a big night in Belfast or Dunfermline next week.

With the Premier League ratifying a deal which releases Tevez from his West Ham contract, United got the 23-year-old through his medical this morning before Ferguson put him through his paces at Carrington.

The Argentina striker will have another session on Saturday, leaving Ferguson to decide whether to send Tevez to Glentoran or Dunfermline on Wednesday for pre-arranged friendlies with a split squad.

"We are delighted," Ferguson told MUTV.

"Carlos trained with us this morning and he did very well.

"He was very enthusiastic about the situation, so he will train again tomorrow.

"Then, we have a couple of games on Wednesday; in Belfast and Dunfermline. He will be involved in one of those and play the full game."

Tevez's debut will mark the start of a two-year loan period, which gives United the option to complete a permanent transfer at the end.

It will also mark the end of a long-running saga which Ferguson expected to complete a month ago, only to find his hopes stall amid the row over Tevez's third-party ownership.

Providing Tevez suffers no adverse reaction to his debut, he should be involved when United open their Premier League title defence against Reading on August 12, his first appearance at Old Trafford since scoring the goal on the final day of last season which kept West Ham up.

Well it if makes him feel any better - about 4/5 years ago (can't remember) I transferred Ole G-S out just before going to the pub to watch the game (evening kickoff - deadline just before it - that I can remember) - only to see him score a hattrick

Aaaaaaaaanyway... back to the topic in hand...

The deal seems to have kicked up a gear in the past 48hrs and the fact that all is sorted and he is in training is a bonus.

With the lack of striking options available to Fergie having sold Rossi and Smith, a fit Tevez should make the bench at least.

All the hype and talk around Tevez will surely only increase the amount of managers picking him and with 21% already gambling on him, he will surely rise in price quickly..? So I'm not risking anything; he's in.

Latest from the BBC is that the PL lawyers are scrutinising the 2-year loan deal before "rubber-stamping" it and that United "are hopeful Carlos Tevez's signing will be completed when the new season starts this weekend." Reading between the lines, he won't be available for Saturday's game but should be OK for GW2.
