You wanna check again ?

Haha well well, clearly an inability to count is no hinderence in this game  So clearly bringing in Danny Graham was worth it after all, that 2 points saw me through even though he got injured.

Go division 3 :)

Eeither my opponent hasn't made any changes since 18th september or I face an unfair advantage of now knowing his team!

In fact I will put all the leagues up in the first post so that everyone can access the lineups.

Thanks Paul, and apologies to my opponent. I did him a disservice. He hasn't made any transfers since 18th September. He has done well to avoid itchy finger syndrome!

Some close 1st legs with a maximum of 15 pts between the ties and we have one tie with Muldoon L3 holding Lucky7s PL.

All to play for in the 2nd legs this week.

5th Round

Only 2 PL teams progressed and they now meet each other in the QF draw.
Jagduracell edged out Knulpuk by a solitary point, Muldoon from D3 knocked out PL Lucky7s by just 2 pts and Spinynorman from the C also knocked out PL opposition in Chief Wiggsy by the biggest margin 26 pts and with the highest score of 95 pts.
Nathan247 was the highest loser with 81 pts followed by Sjr who got 80 and just lost out by 3 to Groomyd.

The QF draw comprises 2 PL, 1 C, 1 L1, 1 L2 and 3 L3 teams so all leagues are still represented. As already stated there is 1 all PL tie and the 3 L3 teams will all be looking to continue their giant killing form in upsetting higher league opposition.

These ties will be played in the weeks Jan 14th and 21st, so Merry Christmas everyone from the this thread.

That's his egg team name, there's always someone who doesn't use his fiso name in the egg team name to assist identifying who is who.

edit - I forgot to hide that column before posting.

Lucked out again! Could it be my year? Looks like I won by virtue of Knulpuk replacing SWP with Bale yesterday morning.

I had the lowest winning score of the round and would have only beaten 4 of the teams that were in the competition.

The luck of the draw!

And I had the 4th best score

QF 1st Legs

1. Neathboy has a useful 14 pts lead over BFM in the all EPL clash.
2. Spinynorman NPC edges Muldoon from D3 by a point so all to play for there.
3. And are 2 upsets on the cards as Billybluenose and Jagduracell both lead, the Jag by a healthy 21 pts.

2nd legs this week.

QF

Division 3 is where it's at 8-) and great to see the newcomers obviously taking to the egg competition and doing so well, bodes well for the future.

First, the all PL clash saw Neathboy come out on top and he is now all that stands against the onslaught of Div 3! as Muldoon beat Spinynorman from the NPC by 12 pts (the transfers in the end were not required), Billybluenose beat Tadpole from D2 by just 3 pts and Jagduracell stuffed Groomyd from D1.

SF

So we have Neathyboy taking on Jagduracell and a D3 team is guaranteed in the final as Muldoon plays Billybluenose.

I'd advise blowing some transfers if you want to win the semi.

All very close, I'd recommend more transfer splurging, especially if you have a big target on your back due to a 5 point lead.

Another high scoring round Neath Boy and just noticed how similar our teams are. Going to be a close one I think:

We basically have:
Me - Friedel, Clichy, Vermaelen, Dempsey and Sturridge
You - Reina, Richards, Enrique, Mata and Moses.

Think a lot could hinge on the Liverpool v Spurs match on Monday night. A 'Pool clean sheet could see you winning this

Good luck (although not too much  )

Looking good for Neathboy maybe for a Premiership and Cup double, can he be stopped, work to be done by the L3 boys!

I am away from 10th to 17th Feb so will not be around for updates, feel free to step in. The draw for the next round should be easy!

Some terrific scoring there NB. I think that 20 points is going to be too much to overcome. Whoever wins the other semi-final is going to have their work cut out.

Congrats!
