1. Structure of the Sun Dream Team FISO Forum1.1 Main ForumContains threads and chat relating to all matters regarding Sun Dream Team that don't fall into any other more specific category.
1.2 Sun Mini-Leagues & Side GamesSub-forum used to discuss Mini-Leagues and member run side games.
1.3 Sun Teams (e.g. Rate My Team - RMT)Sub-forum used to Rate My Team (RMT). Post your team here with your opinions on it, then let the rest of the forum tear it to pieces. Don't just post 11 players, it would be helpful if you posted your reasons/thoughts as to why you've chosen who you have. See "11. Basic Fact Finding & Research" for help on doing your research.
1.4 Sun SPL Dream TeamSub-forum used to discuss the Scottish Suns version of Dream Team.
1.5 Sun Weekend Dream TeamSub-forum used to discuss all aspects of the Suns Weekend Dream Team game.
2. Search Before PostingTo ensure the forums don't become cluttered with the same questions over and over again. Please use the "Search" function of the site to see if someone has already answered your question. If you see a thread that already refers to say the player you are interested in; ie Darren Bent, but your question is not inside, ask the question on the end of the existing thread. Please don't start another Darren Bent thread. Same goes for any subject really.
The Search facility can be found in two places.
a) It is ALWAYS at the bottom of any forum list. So scroll down to the bottom of the forum and you'll see it amongst a list of other options.
"CMS | View new posts since last visit | View Latest: 1 Day 7 Days 14 Days | FAQ |
Search | Memberlist | Usergroups"
This will allow you to choose which part of the site you wish to search
b) Once inside a forum, if you scroll down to the bottom you will see the following box "Search for:"
This will perform a search just within the forum you are currently in.
3. Previous Player Scores and StatisticsIf you need to know how many points Frank Lampard got in 06/07 or how many Clean Sheets Bolton kept in 07/08, then we have the thread for you. It contains player scores going right back to 1998 along with a whole host of useful Sun related data.
Zarch's SDT Complete Player Stats & Scoring (1998 to 2009)zarch-s-sdt-complete-player-stats-scoring-1998-to-2009-t60516.htmlBefore the work to create the above summarised stats began, there were other older stats threads that might still be of interest and relevance, they can be found here:

the-10-commandments-t2.html5.2 Fantasy Football TerminologySeen an acronym that you don't understand, then look here:
fantasy-sports-terminology-t2484.html5.3 Team News (incl. INJURIES)Covers everything from injury reports, weekend team news, fixture changes and pre-season schedules. Possibly the most useful forum on FISO:
epl-team-news-injuries-f3.html5.4 Specialist Club KnowledgeNeed to know who is going to be Bolton's left back this season, then ask the question here:
epl-club-news-f4.html5.5 General Football TalkAgain, if you fancy predicted Wigan's starting XI, then here's another place to look
football-talk-f29.htmlSeriously, make sure you have a good look around the FISO forum, there's a bigger world out there than just Sun Dream Team.
6. Getting the ratings the night before the Sun newspaper comes outIn most cases, its possible to get the ratings that will be in tomorrows paper the night before using this link: (usually around 11pm)

Sharing of Mini-League & Side-Game PrizesPlease read the following FISO statement before creating or joining any Mini-League or side game where prizes are to be shared:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=272939. Need a Spreadsheet for your Own Works League?Forum user "andi_jones" has created a superb spreadsheet to run your own works league on for a couple of seasons now. It is easy to use and highly automated, here's the link:
09/10 Mini-League Spreadsheet09-10-mini-league-spreadsheet-t61485.html10. Appropriate use of the Reply & Quote ButtonsIf you want to add a comment to the thread without referencing any previous comment, just use reply.
If you want to quote a previous conversation to precede your reply, then hit the quote. BUT, you don't have to leave all the previous mail trail in your quote. You can remove any of the text between the opening QUOTE and the final /QUOTE commands (in [square brackets]. This means you can only quote the actual part of the conversation you want to, rather that it all. Once you've done editing, use the preview button to see how your post looks, before hitting submit to commit the post. Its a powerful feature, but dead easy to use and master with a little practice. Proper use of the quote button can cut down thread lengths in an instant. Go on, have a play!
11. Basic Fact Finding & ResearchIf you need to find out about a certain player, a certain club or some result from a game in the past. Its recommended you try these methods first:
Official Club Site (use google, ie "Liverpool Football Club")
Soccerbase:
http://www.soccerbase.com/ESPN Soccernet:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_PageNews Now:
http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Footba ... ier+LeaguePhysio Room:
http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_ ... _table.phpA combination of those should give you plenty of information on most players and clubs, both domestic or international.
So before you post your RMT and declare "I don't know much about Roger Johnson, but he looks cheap someone said he was good", take a look at the recommended resources above.
12. Spell Checking in your BrowserHere's one for our foreign visitors. If you install either of the following, you will get spell checking within your browser. The Firefox add-in is instant (errors are underlined in red), whereas the IE version needs you to perform a spell check.
