Breaking News on Sky Sports News is that the record of proceedings and statement of reasons from the commission may not be made available to Liverpool for a further 3-4 weeks. They then have 14 days to appeal from receipt of these, it may now be worth keeping Suarez in.

interesting. If it does take 3 weeks from today, that gives him til the 12th of January meaning he'll still play 5 games with window. If its 4 weeks that takes it to the 19th, and Liverpools next game is on the 21st so every chance he'd make that even if he does/doesnt appeal, meaning he'll get 7 games which is nearly as many as anyone else. I may keep him now... :?

The whole episode looks likes it's going to drag on and on. Clearly Dalglish has no qualms about playing Suarez. If these records take a week or more to arrive, then Liverpool take 2 weeks to make their appeal, how long will the decision on the appeal itself take? Another 2 weeks? He COULD be available to the end of January.

As has been said it's a big risk but I'm going to keep him in. The masses are taking him out and we all need a little something different to make up ground on Edmo!

Extract from Liverpool Echo Newspaper - i am keeping Suarez in my team

Liverpool FC: Luis Suarez to be available over Christmas as FA racism row drags on
by James Pearce, Liverpool EchoDec 22 2011

LUIS SUAREZ is set to be available for all of Liverpool FC’s matches over the next month with the bitter row over his eight-match ban expected to drag on well into the new year.

Liverpool FC don’t expect to receive the written judgement explaining why the Football Association’s independent commission found the striker guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra for ‘weeks rather than days’.

Only when Liverpool FC are in possession of those details will the 14 days begin in which they have the opportunity to lodge an appeal over Luis Suarez.

Any punishment is suspended until the end of the appeal process so Suarez’s fate might not be known for months.

Given Liverpool’s fury at the verdict, an appeal is almost certain and that would lead to the FA forming another three-man panel. They are unlikely to meet until February at the earliest.

The FA have confirmed that it’s possible the eight-match suspension could be increased on appeal but that would appear to be a risk worth taking considering the Reds’ sense of injustice over not only the outcome of the case but also the way in which the investigation was handled.

The club would look to not only get the ban reduced but the guilty verdict overturned.

Ended up adding more Suarez's as he'slikely to have more on pitch minutes thanmost other strikers in this window.

I believe Suarez will be elligable to play for most (if not all) of the TW. However, I took him out because I'm not sure how he will cope with the idiotic fans and media constantly abusing him, whether he continued his form with this negativity is a risk I wasn't prepared to take.

Yep,my thoughts exactly,as a liverpool fan i think he's a fantastic player, but can be a loose cannon,i took him out for the same reasons as yourself.

Either way i can't lose,if he keeps flying its good for liverpool,if he loses form then i did right to take him out.

The ban will be served against Newcastle though which is an extra kick in the teeth for those who gambled on keeping him as he would surely have run riot.
