FS Record: MOTD 11/12 - 3rd, TFFE 11/12 - 16th
Recently bought a 2001 Seat Leon 1.8 SE with 69,000 on the clock and very pleased with the drive, except at 30mph ish plus, occasionally, there is a strange rumbling noise coming from the left side of the engine near the wing. I've had the wheel bearing checked and that's fine and changed the front wheels over which has made no difference.
Yesterday I took it for a spin on the M25 reaching 70mph for about 45 mins and had no rumbling noise whatsoever. Any Ideas ?

No noise when reversing.

When I do get the noise when driving over 30 ish and when changing gear the noise stays at the same.

Are you too close to the kerb and driving over grids?

Stationary I ment.
Possibly clutch/flywheel?sounds like you need to take it to a garage.

Just keep dawdling around at 25mph. People drive so fast these days anyway.
