Is Shawcross in the starting XI this season?

Yeah, I rate him too. Suprised Euro teams of certain types have not had a sniff. Though, Arsenal, whom he would fit into, obviously would not. So, his breaks from the team after the Ramsey breaks were just breaks in the past soon to be forgotten I assume. Let's hope Ramseys are too.

RP "best XI" is much the same as last term in a 4-4-2:

Begovic
Huth AbFaye Shawcross Collins
Delap Whitehead Whelan Etherington
Fuller Sidibe

They reckon it's a tight fight for the fister's jersey but that Begovic will just nick it. The defence is good but they lack goals; Etherington was top scorer with only 5 last season. Tony Pulis is a good manager and he knows this; I expect a big money signing up front before the season begins. Top ten might be a bit of a push this time.

Ditto, I expect this season to be a bit of a let down, especially if the Dressing Room disharmony is bad.

Any who think we dont have any intelligent articulate English managers listen to Pullis on Sky now, he is one of my fav managers.
No disrespect to Stoke but love to see him given a chance at a club with a good budget to see what he could do

TP likes to stick with what he knows which is why Faye keeps getting picked, Soro will start (i think) but Begovic isnt far off him.
Hope that helps.

With O'Neill gone at Villa, TP may get his chance sooner than expected.

Yep Matty will do just fine, signed a new deal & takes free kicks, pens & corners.

Found his way into a good few of my teams in different comps. Seems underpriced in all (or am I barking up wrong tree?). Ar ethye going to sign another striker though?

I saw someone somewhere on Fiso wondering if Fuller will be suspended for his recent red card. I didn't even know that he'd got one in a friendly. Do friendly reds count?

Dont worry (be happy) http://www.stokecityfc.com/page/NewsDet ... 29,00.html.
Might also be fitter this season as he lost a stone when he went back to Jamaica to rebuild his Grandmothers house (he got Chicken Pox out there and lost the weight).
Its a know fact that TP is after another striker or two so watch this space re-Fuller.

Thanks Suzykins. Never thought that in selecting teams for fantasy I'd ever go near the Britannia, but playing the tight budget EPL game for the first time requires a little "desparation".

But good luck for the season anyway.

3 questions for my 'Stoke block' team

Sorenson or Begovic - I'm leaning towards Sorenson's experience being the key factor, but expect Begovic to take over and claim the jersey at some stage this season

Higginbotham or Collins or Wilkinson - I think Huth & Shawcross are nailed on starters & expect Ab. Faye to start most games. Not sure who will fill the 4th spot though. Quite surprised that Higginbotham is the most expensive Stoke defender in TFF (3.7m)

Also any are there any TFF listed Stoke defenders who might play in midfield ?

These are the Stoke players listed

Higginbotham 3.7
Shawcross 3.5
Huth 3.5
Ab. Faye 3.4
Collins 3.3
Wilkinson 3.3
Dickinson 2.6
Davies 2.6
