Every valid team registered by the first scheduled kick-off of the English Premier League season on Saturday, August 13, 2011 will also be entered into the Original Team League. The Original Team League is a snapshot of each original starting XI selection, not including the substitute, and is unaffected by any transfer activity during the season. The Manager whose original team selection accumulates the highest number of points within the Original Team League during the season will win £500. Only teams registered before the first scheduled kick-off on Saturday, August13, 2011 will be eligible for participation in the Original Team League. In the event of a tie for the Original Team League prize, a tiebreaker will be used to determine the winner. They obviously haven't even changed this term in the rules from last season as it states singular 'substitute' (as it was a 12 man game last season with 1 sub) whereas this season with the 4 subs the term/rule should read 'substitutes' plural.
So having a Sunderland player in the starting 11 on the first day of the season while Silva/Dzeko sits on the bench could cost someone £500 over some muppet that isn't even clued up enough to include Silva/Dzeko in their team
I have a team/squad that will hit 300+ (-32 captain) once the update hits tomorrow (so 270+) without a single transfer made however I doubt it will even trouble the top 100 in the starting XI league, it appears the starting XI League is the first 11 you started with and not including those players you started on the bench so no City players if benched (played the Monday night), I'm furious as my starting squad has got off to a blinder without making any tweaks and the reward is none. If you're going to introduce a squad game at least include that in the original team competition!!
