You have no chance.

We can kid ourselves on all we like, just as I was deluded enough to think Celtic would go through against Utrecht tonight. :|

Rangers 2-1 St Johnstone

RANGERS: McGregor; Whittaker, Bougherra, Weir, Papac; Naismith, Davis, McCulloch, Weiss; Miller, Beattie.

SUBS: Alexander, Broadfoot, Edu, Jelavic, McMillan, Little, Hutton.

Kenny Miller's late winner - his fifth goal of the season - against stubborn St Johnstone puts champions Rangers top of the Scottish Premier League. I'll take any kind of win just now, but surely we shouldn't be struggling this early in the Season against St Johnstone especially with the Forwards we now have at our disposal.

In saying that I have watched The Rangers for over 40 years and it always seems we start the season at a low key. Just watch us go when the Autumn and Winter kicks in. :D

HAMILTON 1 RANGERS 2

Rangers: McGregor, Broadfoot, Papac, Weir, Bougherra, Lafferty, Naismith, Edu, Davis, Jelavic and Beattie.

Substitutes * 25 Alexander, * 12 Foster, * 06 McCulloch, * 20 Weiss, * 09 Miller, * 29 Little, * 41 Hutton.

I honestly think today was the worst I have seen us play in quite a number of months. The defence was very uncertain at times, we lacked any real fight in the middle of the park and most important created very little. I am delighted we are sitting on 12 points just now as our start to the season has been poor. Thank god for Kenny Miller.

We can only get better. (but I do worry about Tuesday) :|

Just gave a big sigh of nostalgia when I came across this old clip. I was 14, at the game in the middle of a 130,000 crowd (aye, those were the days). Ralphie Brand remains my all time favourite Rangers Player to this day. :D

Champions League Result.

MAN UTD 0 - RANGERS 0

Superb point. With events in Turkey it looks like we might be in Europe after Christmas after all......fingers crossed.

Terrible game though...and that suited us so well. Image

Good result for us tonight & a decent performance. We lost a couple of poor goals as we seem to have switched off at 3-0 but we picked it back up and it could probably have been double figures had we not taken our foot off the gas

We put in a good performance for an hour but looked a bit nervous late on. Bursapor looked they were going to collapse for a spell after we scored and I think we could pick up a win in Turkey. The support were superb & deserve a lot of credit for the backing they showed the team.

This coming from going a goal down lark is becoming a bad habit.Thats the past three games in a row we have done it now. Would be hard pushed to think of the last time we did that.....Shows good team spirit and a will to win...But lets hope we don't make it 4 next weekend unless we go onto to win the game.... :P

The positives were the team performance and the pace we played at tonight. Just gutted and angry really at massive clear cut chances against a top team that we missed.

Scottish Cup 1/4 Final - Rangers: Alexander; Whittaker, Bougherra, Weir, Broadfoot; Little, Edu, McCulloch, Wylde; Weiss, Naismith

Kilmarnock 0 Rangers 2 Image Image

Little 25
Naismith 61

Good result at the end, but a bit of a lethargic team tonight. Weiss looking a bit out of sorts, just could not keep the ball when he got onto to it. Great goal from Little in the 1st half. Team formation seemed strange to me, but the defence as always was quite secure. Alexander having a couple of tete a tete's with Boogie mind you over some defending. I presume we'll go back to 100% full strength from here on in but hopefully Smith sees that against the Kilmarnocks of the world, we can play 3 or 4 young players in the earlier rounds and still get a victory. :D

Rangers 1-1 Inverness CT :| :| :|

Edu (11)

Odhiambo (81

This is what happens when we go a goal up, we sit on it and suffer the consequences. We are much better coming from a goal down and attacking the opposition. Rangers were terrible and totally lack lustre, it was only after Inverness scored that they lifted their game, why can't they do that for 90mins and kill off teams. Fans pay good money to watch 90mins of good football, not 5mins after the opposition scores.

We did all the hard work last week and got a well deserved 3pts at Parkhead where we don't get a lot of wins, then we come home to what on paper is an easier game and the added bonus of being at home and we drop points ffs. :(

Valencia 3 Rangers 0

Ah well, all good things come to an end, and I suppose that it was wishful thinking that we could go to Valencia and get a result. When the draw was made I said that the best we could hope for was 3rd place, but we're still in there punching above our weight.

That's a bit more like it, although I would have liked to see them put Aberdeen to the sword. As I type this I see that Celtic won at St Mirren with ANOTHER injury time winner.

KILMARNOCK 2 RANGERS 3 Image

Kenny Miller scored a hat-trick as we saw off fighting Kilmarnock team who went down to 10 men. Conor Sammon put Killie in front from close range on 21 minutes but Kenny Miller replied from the penalty spot five minutes before the interval. Sissoko was ordered off for conceding his second penalty, with Miller again converting on 55 minutes.

Sammon slid in at the back post to level for Killie, but King Kenny sealed the points with a finish from six yards. This was the sixth time we've come from behind to win in the SPL this Season.

Champions League. Rangers 0 Manchester Utd 1

All in all we gave it our best with a depleted squad and it was always going to be "back to the walls" stuff against United. As I mentioned at the start of the thread we were realistically looking to securing 3rd place in the Group to give us Europa League Football to look forward to, so in that sense it's "mission accomplished" :D

Dundee United v Rangers - Abandoned because of adverse weather.

It's a pity because after Celtic's poor draw against Inverness yesterday I was looking forward to us extending our lead at the top of the table. In a way it's a good thing as it will give the Team 10 days rest and a chance to get Lafferty, Edu, Jelavic, Papac, Bougherra and Beattie all fit and ready to go. :D

Rangers have been drawn against Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon in the last 32 of the Europa League. Tough one for the Gers, but at least it doesn't involve a lot of travelling for the supporters. If we make it through we meet either Lille or PSV Eindhoven. :D

We need to move on quickly. Pains me to say it but the better team on the day won. The thing that worries me was that it was very evident early on in the 2nd half that Celtic were starting to win all the 50 - 50s and we had no answer to it. Our lack of hunger and desire was a disgrace.

The Gers eased into the 4th round of the Cup in what turned out to be a comfortable win when I expected more from Killie. It's "Selick" in the next round now. :D
