Carrot and Coriander is my favourite.
But am also very partial to a nice minted lamb "heinz bigsoup".

My cousin makes a mean Borscht, which tastes a lot nicer than it smells when it's cooking.

Voted oxtail. Delicious, although I do like a good Pea and Ham as well. Tomato and chicken soup just remind me of being ill.

Any one of these really: Tomato, Parsnip, Spinach, Carrot and Coriander, Onion but voted for Carrot.

Must be home made and home grown though. Mrs Eagle has just finished processing carrot, parsnip, onion and bean soups ready for "Soup Season" (October to February incl.) - just does not seem right having soup outside the Autumn/Winter months.

Lobscouse. A variation on scouse/scotch broth.

Shin beef and loads of veg chunks. Perfect for a quick warming snack and best left standing overnight.

Salisbury's used to do a Fresh Thai Red Curry soup, which was very tasty. That would be my favourite by a long way, unfortunately they stopped making it, they still do a Fresh Thai green curry soup which was 2nd favourite now 1st I guess. Sometimes if the wife fancies something I'm not keen on I will have a whole one of those as my dinner (they are pretty big cartons).

I used to think carton soups a rip off too (and I still wouldn't pay £2 for one) but the supermarket own ones are normally between £1 & £1.50 they are much nicer and bigger than cans, which have now crept up to nearly £1 themselves.

Morrison's Chicken & Sweetcorn is pretty nice too, add an egg when you cook it and you have egg drop soup. Normally £1 for 600g carton.

Maybe with autumn upon us and winter on it's way we should have a home made soup recipe thread!
