I don't think we are going to win. Ah well.

Lampard will do us again

On wed they made captaincy changes from Tevez to Lampard and now todays transfers, both occasions in the last 3 minutes before deadline in different teams.

I have my suspicions about some multi teaming but maybe it's just coincidence :?

hmmmm. Well nothing really looks too suspicious, because if they are all still active, then it is likely they will be waiting till the last second. Maybe if Bale can score another and get MOM my total will see us through!

That's it so.

We've come second according to my calculations. We just caught with not enough of us captaining Lampard.

It seems ridiculous that adam johnson can get MOM on this game and not a single point on FPL.com version of the game

bad luck guys, i feel a bit guilty as if i'd realised the fiso cut off was earlier than the official cut off for minis my team would have won the superleague in conjunction with the top4. i missed the tff one due to a few problems round the time of the cut off and thinking it was a couple of days later, not sure if i cost anyone anything on that one or actually enabled some others to take a slice of the cash  .

maybe someone can suggest a headline fiso superleagues deadlines next year.

been an enjoyable game, shame i did so badly early season

Never mind. Thanks for working it out, bossdrum. Been a good season all in all. I hope they don't do too much with this game next season in terms of trying to trick it up a bit - assuming it does actually come back. :?

It's a shame alright andy that that a respected member as yourself is excluded from the league as i doubt the deadline was introduced for people like you but rather for guys just entering the top leagues to win prizes.

I think you should enter and hopefully shaggy will let you in before they start updating. It's better that four of original top 5 get something than none of the top 5.

I'd even consider giving a small compensation amount to the person who misses out, then everyone gains?

Even so even with your score there is guarantee that it would be enough but it would be worth a go.

It's up to shaggy i suppose?

Can't agree with that bossdrum. The deadline was set because of all sorts of mucking around last season, and it is right and fair that it stands for everyone. I would hate it if I were a member of the winning league and that happened to me to drop to second. Wouldn't sit right with me at all.

i've got no problem with it, just suggesting it might be worth having a headline fiso superleague deadlines page in future. not purely for this game but a general heading with deadlines for every fiso superleague listed.

at least it made it interesting!

see you next season.

Yes. It would be well worth that. Just a case of trying to remember to get admin to launch the thread and sticky it in 97 days time.

Yeah fair enough Jonathan.

Hopefully we'll have a full compliment of players next season from the start to make a fresh attempt at the top.

Congratulations on a good season yourself.

With bent missing those penalties for you & me buying bullard , who knows what might have been. :)

it could be multiple teams, its one of the many reasons why i hate superleagues, but i think far more likely just teamwork as we were discussing.

Thanks, bossdrum. Certainly my best performance in a fantasy game by far.

It surprises me that more of the established skilled FISOers don't pick up this game. I know the monthly prizes and anything after first are nothing compared to what a lot have won, but £10,000 is not to be sniffed at, and is there for a FISOer to take I reckon.

When the update comes, I will sit and work out two key points in my season. I tried to win MOTM in January (I think), which whilst not costing me points, I spent 4 or 5 transfers that ordinarily I would have kept, and of course Bent missing two of three penalties when he was my captain will have hurt big time, because for sure he would have got MOTM that week, too.

All ifs and buts, but it has been a enjoyable game and well done to the high achievers!

Final standings for the 2009/2010 FF season. On a personal note, it is nice to finally win a FISO league, but it is a shame that it coincides with the rare event that the FISO league is not overall the best one! :(

I made a good start in this game, and unlike over in CYKI, I was actually able to maintain it for the whole season. It just would have been nice to present a table football game to my nephew!

Private League Championship. After having a pretty substantial lead for a large part of the season, we couldn't quite do it when it mattered most. I suppose we can still hope for last minute disqualifications as happened last season, but other than that, it seems we lost it fair and square!

I've just been reading comments posted on here over the past few days.

From what I've seen of the winning m/l, I don't think there is any multi-entranting. There may have been group decisions on transfers & captain choices, but I don't think that goes against anything in the rules.

If my actions in kicking everyone out of the mini-league have resulted in FISO not winning the prize, then I can only apologise most humbly.

At the height of it all, I was getting loads of people applying to join, in the hope of winning something. I must confess I stopped everyone joining and didn't bother to check to see if they were genuine. Maybe next year if there is a genuine FISO-er, then a pm could be sent. There could still be the possibility of a late entrant kicking a 5th placed person down to 6th, and this could create a bit of animosity.

This always seems to cause problems year after year. If I've done anything to make things worse, then I'll take my trusty revolver and go for a long walk in the woods.

Sorry.

Hey, Shaggy. I don't think anyone is having a go at you mate! You did exactly the right thing. The deadline was set, and everything was done to make all FISOers playing the Sky game aware of that. Short of going round and knocking on people's doors, nothing more could have been done and I think it was spot on this year.

I don't care if a manager with a trillion points wanted to enter after the deadline. The deadline was set and it has to be stuck to in the true name of FISO. :D At the end of the day, the £10,000 first prize is a cracking amount, and as I have said before, it surprises me more skilled fantasy football players from FISO haven't got stuck into this game, but the rest of the prize structure is quite weak, so it isn't really too critical anyway.

Rules is rules so put the revolver down on the table, and step away!
