... and away we go.

http://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/

Free to enter (although the web-site only lets you select a country of UK or Ireland). £25k first prize, £3k MOM, £1.5k MOW, No M/L prize.

You log in using your Sky Bet log in details. Use this FISO link to get a free £10 matched bet when registering at Sky Bet then use those log in details to sign in to the FF game.

I've taken the liberty of setting up a m/l, so if anyone wants to be part of the winning m/l (after being pipped at the post last season), simply post your team name on here, and I'll pm you the number.

Entries to the m/l are now closed.

It looks like Sky haven't changed the way people can submit to be part of the m/l, so I'm going to have a busy season, especially if we're doing well.

Mints Four Cups are ready for action!! :D Shame there is no ML prizes, but still some decent prize money for a free comp!! I'm very much liking the new MOM and MOW prizes!! :D Should keep the interest throughout the season!!

I'm surprised and disappointed Sky aren't providing any minileague prizes this season, even though they didn't do so for the World Cup game.

Thanks for setting the league up though Shaggy.

Although we won the World Cup Private League Championship, we'll be unlikely to win this one, with the restrictions and entry deadline, but at least we'll have a league of genuine Fisoers competing with each other.

It looks like I'll have to wait for their e-mail about this game to register,as your above link treated me as a newcomer, and even when I completed the form,it said my pin details did not comply with the specified requirements, although they did.

Have you a sky bet account grob, as it that you need to log in with and not last years log in.

No Mintman :( I don't want one either,as my gambling days are largely behind me

It shouldn't be a pre-requisite to have one in order to play a free to enter FF game surely ?

From a commercial viewpoint,Sky are bombarding their captive visitors to their website with a sales pitch for their TV/broadband packages, which should be sufficient to justify the prize money they're providing.

I now use the same logins for all 3, Slybet, Super Six and Fantasy Football, I would expect it`s the same for everyone.

Does this mean everybody who wants to play the FF game needs a Betting account, if so it should cut back the number of entries dramatically, which would be very good news :)

Registration wasn't necessary for the world cup game, if you had played soccer six. You just logged in with soccer six/skybet id/pin

I`m sure my login for the World Cup game was the same as this game last season, which have now changed to my Slybet username and 4 digit pin.

Sorry five I meant the prediction one (super 6 or sommat), not the fantasy world cup. As em was asking about that.

Ah, I understand what you mean now, anyone remember roughly how many entries there were last year, I`m thinking around 200,000, or maybe that was only the amount that were ahead of me at the end :P

It would seem so,5LB, based on my experience of trying to enter via Shaggy's link above.

I've used the same login details for many years to enter the Sky FF games, and this is the first time i've experienced such a problem.

I'll have to await Sky's e-mailed game prospectus to arrive - maybe they'll not insist on me opening a betting a/c,so don't raise your hopes just yet that I might not be playing !

Not overjoyed with having to have a Sky account of any kind just to play fantasy football. Will give it some thought and I expect I will join up providing I don't have to deposit funds into my betting account to do so. Big shame they have knocked the mini-league prize on the head, which is maybe some kind of response to the discussions about trying to lock mini-league entry dates.

I reckon they feel they will clean up if 100,000 people open an account and lose a fiver to get the free bet, it`s like charging an entry fee, even if it encourages gambling, evil incarnate

It does say register for free on the game homepage.

I did have a read through the rules before starting this up.

I don't want a Skybet account, but it is free to enter, and I'll get loads of emails that I'll knock on the head as soon as I can, but for the time being I'll suffer a few junk emails heading my way.

After all, every time some-one applies to join the m/l I get an email from them, so a few more won't make that much difference to me.

As for overseas entries, I'm not overseas so I don't know if this works or not. No doubt some-one will let us know in due course.

FPL perfect for this, and free to enter, albeit without prizes ? ( I assume you meant can't not can ?)

It is a strange thing to get used to, but in the end you may find that you prefer it that way. I certainly do.

Shaggy, you may want to open another thread at a later date once people get over the shock of being conned into signing up with Sky Bet this season before they can play? Finding names in here could be messy.
