I think he steamed the stamps off and used them himself.

Decidedly odd, it must be said.

He did amazing things in the early 60's, and was one of the very few people to meet Elvis in Britain.

He claimed he was the first person to hold a disco

Odd bloke, time for the dirt to be dished?

He quite probably was, he brought the US Coach Tour idea over here (remember Buddy Holly getting in the plane......) and was probably the top promoter of gigs way back before they were called gigs...

I'm sure there is a load of dirt, there.

:?

I'm not dishing any dirt, hope his family and friends are not upset. You can't say he didn't live life to the full.

I'm inferring that there have been many insinuations over the years and now he has passed away they may come out.

He was if you class playing records in a dance hall rather than having a live band. No one had done that before. Not much of a light show though. 40 million for charity is a fair old whack but yes as daft as a brush.

Can we let him go cold first?

Do you really think that if there was dirt it wouldn't have already been dished anyway?

Amazing man. Although he also made me feel a tad uncomfortable.
Always expected to find some really sleazy news of the screws type story about him.

I think I ran past him in the 1988 London Marathon - I was a bit of a mess at the time so can't be sure.

Certainly heard some rumours about him but hope he did more good than bad.
