Don't you just love it when journo's don't do their homework?

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp and Blackburn's Sam Allardyce have refused to speak to the BBC following claims in a separate Panorama programme, and will also be required to speak to the insitution.

Err, they've already kissed and made up, so to speak.

How STUPID???

First fergie gets banned for giving his opinion in a post match interview now they say he can get banned for not doing one!

Cant wait till MOTD shows 10 managers saying "we were great" and the other 10 saying "no comment". Will make great tv!

Any true feelings and you get punished, but you HAVE to speak to the cameras right after a game, when the blood is still boiling

Again...STUPID!!

Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to learn this week how much Manchester United will be fined as a result of his on-going battle with the BBC.
United are expected to be hit with a series of escalating fines because of Ferguson’s refusal to conduct match-day interviews with the BBC, one of the official broadcasters of the Premier League.
New rules mean a club can be fined £25,000 every time their manager fails to talk — a total of £950,000 if applied to every game of the season.
Ferguson has not spoken to the BBC since a documentary concerning his son Jason was broadcast in 2004.

Still has not been addressed

Manchester United will reportedly face fines totalling £65,000 this week due to manager Sir Alex Ferguson's steadfast refusal to break his boycott on speaking to the BBC.

Premier League chairman Sir David Richards is understood to have been in contact with United chief executive David Gill to discuss the veteran Scot's continued refusal to cooperate with the corporation, reports the Daily Mail.

Under current league rules, club managers must conduct pre and post-match interviews with all broadcast partners, including the BBC.

However, Ferguson has refused to speak to the BBC ever since the corporation aired an unflattering Panorama documentary in 2004 on the business practices of his son Jason, who was then operating as a football agent.

After months of negotiation with Manchester United, the Premier League is finally poised to act on the transgression of its regulations.

The league has to power to fine Ferguson £20,000 for each time he refuses to give an interview to the BBC, but it is thought that officials will impose a much lighter sanction.

Ferguson has so far failed to comply with the new regulations for 13 games, meaning the league could impose a fine of £5,000 per game, adding up to £65,000.

However, with the BBC and Ferguson seemingly unlikely to reach a compromise in the row, it's unclear whether the fines will escalate over the course of the season.

There's probably a few ways to get round it - he could simply change his job title to something else like Supreme Commander of Football and make someone else like Mike Phelan the notional 'manager'.

I don't care but I find it childish to be honest. The same when managers get the hump with Lineker, Hansen, Lawrenson etc etc for daring to criticise players or teams.

I find it mildly amusing, especially since the other managers who took similar action (Redknapp and Allardyce) have long since dropped their silly games.

Hope the first question is about his son Jason and what he is up to these days.

His nose will light up like a strawberry on a sugar mountain.

More aggression than the last fight in Manchester for sure...

wouldn't it be great if they rolled out the journo who did the Panarama expose and started the interview with something along the lines of 'so as I was saying Sir Alex..'
