Ive got 1 free team should i really bother? i get emails from the sun [100 quid upwards etc] but is it case of 'you need to be in it to win it' and you may have punchers chance or because shear number of teams and syndicates its a piss in the wind?

Due to sheer volume, you (and all of us) are largely pissing in the wind;
however, there's always a chance. If you only have one team, its a two minute task… so go for it.

A lot of weeks its won (or certainly the £100 places are) by having the correct star man - Ba scoring a hat trick, Van Persie scoring a brace or hat trick etc.

Sadly you're playing with 9 men this weekend (no Enrique or Suarez). But so will about half the field. Another large percentage will be impacted by no Schwarzer or no Hangeland.

Besides, the rest of your team have favourable fixtures; clean sheets across the rest of your defence is a distinct possibility and goal opportunities for your offensive guys.
