So this probably isn't gonna be a good event for those of us with a cheap defence

Or those of us with non-playing sub keepers. Probably going to be a few of us struggling if Gordon doesn't start playing again soon. :(

Those with expensive midfields and or strike forces will get their chance to shine in later events though.

The big news in week one of the shot putt is UEMs amazing return to form. The killer chinchilla, as he likes to be know has thrown a massive 14.82 metres to be leading the the shot putt after round one. UEM was unavailable for comment as he was immediatly halled off for a drugs test! The overall leader, M-Boy, looks to maintain his grip on the overall competition by throwing the shot 14.12 metres. He's in third place with RomynPG in second with a 14.47 metre throw.

The high jump event is to be swapped with the 400 metres following athletes complaints that there would be confusion over what kind of bar they should be climbing over on New Years Day. The 400 meters will now be run in gameweeks 21 and 22 followed by the high jump in gameweeks 23-25.

For anyone even slower than Carlos  you have to click on the events to get a table for them, and the overall results are also available but only updated at the end of each event.

A spokesman for the FISOlympiad has confirmed that tests on UmExcuseMe have found no trace of performance-enhancing drugs.

Suspicions were raised when the rascally rodent managed an impressive 14.82 metres in the shot put to lead all competitors in that event after his abject failures in the 100m and high jump.

"There were indications that something was amiss," said the spokesman. "He had already admitted in an interview that the shot put is not his strongest event. His dramatic operatic voice, a possible side-effect of some of the more dangerous anabolic steroids, was another red flag, but the tests have conclusively shown that UmExcuseMe is drug-free."

When asked to comment on his possibly non-random selection for drug testing, the athlete only gave the following cryptic comment: "I'm just glad that to you humans, we rodents all look the same."

Everything is going right for shawpower this week weather he's x leagueing, cycling or throwing the shot putt. He shoots into first place of this event with dalythgoe moving into second. UmExcuseMe drops down to third place despite adding another seven centimertres to his first attempt.

Romyn PG Database Enterprises plc have not yet had chance to update the scoreboard yet to reflect the new schedule for this decathlon. The high jump event is to be swapped with the 400 metres following athletes complaints that there would be confusion over what kind of bar they should be climbing over on New Years Day. The 400 meters will now be run in gameweeks 21 and 22 followed by the high jump in gameweeks 23-25.

I hadn't the time to check this over the holidays, but it is a nice bit of news for the first day back. :D

My FPL form has been picking up of late but I am still rubbish at the Decathlon (the worst thrower (putter?) with 2 valid throws (putts)).

The Ronoro Virus swept through the decathlete village this week leaving just two athletes able to make a shot putt attempt. But it was worth the effort from beerfueledman and sligorover as they both managed their longest throws of the competition so far. shawpowers 2nd round throw is enough to win the competition and move up to 2nd overall. M-Boy holds on to his lead.

It's bad news for CanaryYellow and Jester who fail to putt in a legal throw.

Hopefully all the athletes will recover in time for the 400 metres, up next.

It brings a tear to my eye to see the tri-colour in silver position at the Olympics. :D

Only two people below me on the main table (ignoring those who failed to score in one of the events). I never have been any good at athletics. :(
