A youth worker has asked me to fill in for her at a youth club next week, running a film night.

I need a film that is:

a) Will be enjoyed by 14-17 year old boys and girls
b) Is no longer than 90 minutes
c) Is not higher than a 12 certificate
d) Is not full of rude jokes

Any ideas?

I'll be looking to take two or three and let them vote which one they want to see.

A hard one to call WHATEVER 14-17 year olds,no higher than a 12 cert, and no rude jokes!you surely have to go for something funny Meet the effers,American pie, something like that, not to rude and probally the sort of film that will keep them in their seats

Is it a 'General' Youth Club or do they have specific interests - also is it a 50/50 ish split Boys / Girls or predominately same sex.

If the 90 mins is a strict limit then I'm not sure - Ferris for example is over that.

But if it isn't ....

Mar Attacks!

Cert 12 on my copy but PG-13 on IMDB ?
Running time approx 101-104 mins

ACK!ACK! ACK!ACK!

So others I could find that are slightly longer than 90

The Addams Family (99min)
Dumb and Dumber (107min - rated version)
Men in Black (98 mins)
Wayne's World (95 mins)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (104 mins)

It's at my church hence the fairly strict rules on content. Monty Python the Meaning of Life is a definate no!

I don't know the boy/girl mix so I will assume 50/50

Stand By Me is a great idea for a old film they may not have seen.
Transformers is a very good idea.

Is there anything that has come out on DVD fairly recently that woudl be suitable?

Someone suggested Bee Movie but I would have thought that too childish? I only know of it though. Anyone seen it? Comments?

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I've got another week to decide so feel free to keep them coming.
