Please note the following when deciding whether to join or set up a Mini-League or Side-Game where a prize may be won or offered by the Chairman of the mini-league:

1. As a general rule I will set up and thus Chair all 'official/main' FISO Mini-Leagues where substantial prizes could be won by the Chairman. (This is so I know that the prize won by the Chairman will be distributed appropriately if won. I am also generally best placed to contact users should they initially fail to come forward and claim their share. I will decide how prizes will be distributed if prizes won and will post the respective shares on the relevant forum. The offical FISO mini-leagues are generally found within the 'sticky' threads on the game's forum).

2. Before setting up any 'official/main' FISO mini-league then request permission from Admin first (even if there is no prize on offer for the Chairman) and if permission granted please ensure that the M/L name includes the word 'FISO'. Admin prefers that all official fiso mini-leagues are chaired either by admin or by fiso moderators.

3. If you are setting up a M/L that is not the official/main FISO M/L but are going to be recruiting a number of people from FISO to join your M/L then it would be appreciated if the word 'FISO' is included in your M/L name to help promote this website.

4. If you decide to join a mini-league or side-game not Chaired by me then you do so at your own risk. I do not necessarily know who the Chairman is in real life and may not be able to help you should he/she decide not to distribute the prize he/she has won or has offered themselves. A mini-league or game set up using the FISO forums has nothing to do with FISO Ltd or the forum administrator.

5. If you want to join a non-official mini-league (i.e. one not chaired by me) then you should try and put in place some form of written agreement between the participants and the chairman (using real life names) with regard to the distribution of any prize won. This could be based upon a standard syndicate type agreements - showing the membership and how winnings are paid out. These should be signed but at least do an exchange of private messages.

6. If you join a mini-league not Chaired by me or a game run by a forum member and you do not receive the share of winnings you were expecting then do not blame me or FISO Ltd. You were warned.

For the sake of clarity, I should point out that the reason for this has nothing to do with any particular mini-league. Last season there was a problem with a Dream Team Mini League which was organised outside FISO. After about 4 months of hassle the Chairman eventually paid out - after threats of legal action. It was agreed that it was safer to clarify the situation so that there could be no suggestion that FISO had any liability for unofficial MLs.

I set up a FISO mini-league in the Can You Kick It Game. On the prizes page it says this...

As of October, every month we'll be selecting Bonus Prize categories. It could be any of the below 3 categories, it could be something completely new. So stay tuned and watch this space.

Best League
Most Improved Manager
Most Clean Sheets

Would you rather I transfer Chairmanship to you Admin just in case we win something?

Only if it's a significant amount of cash which I doubt it will be.

It takes quite a bit of time to sort out the sending of appropriate cheques so I'd rather only do this for sizeable amounts.

Besides if you didn't pay out you'd be banned from FISO which I suspect for you Rich may be quite a high penalty. (And we know where you live and what you look like now after the last meet up  ). So I'm happy for you to continue for the moment.

When you do find out what the prize is and how the M/L qualifies do try and set out quickly what the split will be.

Indeed, X-man suggested I should clarify the M/L prize sharing position after that episode which I have done today.

I just hope that when the Doubles TFF league wins the mini-league comp., Jeffers will (as Chairman) be keeping all the money himself.

Because this is almost certain to happen, you may as well deactivate him now Chris
