can we have the share button moved a little bit lower please? I often sweep over it and up it pops thinking it is required and blocks all of the last post on the thread....takes ages to disappear as well.

can we ask BD to do this? can we? can we?

There is a definite bug in the code attached to that button, but it is get roundable. What should happen is that if you hover over it for a second or two the full box appears. If you only fly over it on the way to somewhere else then it shouldn't appear. Once it has appeared properly then to get it to disappear you just move the mouse away from the enlarged area.

What is happening is that if you fly over it the box appears once the two second delay has finished even though the mouse is nowhere near. Because the mouse isn't over the box when it appears it gets confused, so moving the mouse around doesn't clear the box as we've all doubtless found. The work around is to restore order by moving the mouse over the box and then off it again. When it moves away the box now disappears as it should.

So BD, if you're reading this, please can you fix the code so that a momentary fly over doesn't trigger the share box appearing in the first place.

Cheers.

If anyone who uses adblock plus is being bothered by it, not just on here of course, anywhere else, you can just block it, and it`s gone for good, if you ever need it just unblock it 8-)

I was so tempted to type simples in there, but resisted, for a moment anyway

I think it's a horrible piece of crap that pops up on all kinds of websites these days, very annoying when you bring it up by accident and can't get rid of it. Does anyone here actually use the thing on FISO or elsewhere?

I think most of us are of that age where the answer is no.

Nope, it hasn't. There are a couple of other scenarios which might make it appear to have been fixed. Firstly, if there is enough room on the view area below the button then that is where the box will appear. Secondly, once the box has been triggered and cleared it then won't appear again on a flyover. It's almost as if there is some variable that hasn't been initialised until the box is properly triggered.

Anyway, I've emailed BD and admin, so hopefully something will get done.

This does now appear to have been fixed.

A little bit of necromancy resurrecting this thread from 2 years back but...

That button is really annoying me! In forums with longer names where the forum name that you are on is right underneath the button (Fanatasy Football - FPL - FPL mini-leagues and side games for example) when I have read the thread and I am at the bottom of the page I go to click to get back to the forum and the share box pops up and on so many occasions I end up initialising a share to facebook or print or something.

Can we not have an option in our profiles to deactivate it or is adblock the only way of doing so?

I have no idea what this thread is about (vague meories of it being an issue!)

Do I not see it because I have adblock on?? Probably not as I am getting the ads!
