Anyone interested in bringing in him once Man City complete the singing? I don't think he'll be priced at 12, maybe 10.5 or 11. If Tevez goes, he maybe worth the gamble, everybody knows his talent, the question is if he can do it in the Premier League.

I doubt they'll be paying 40 million to do that...

but em9999 really doesn't like the way Man City go about their business, don't you know that!? :) this naturally reflects on the worth of Aguero as a fantasy pick for us all.

Nah, by all accounts he'll be a definite starter. His price and whether Tevez stays or not will decide if I go for him.

If they win the league this year, does that make them a 'big club'? just out of interest...

Brilliant avatar, guy! I loved that film and I don't care who knows it.

To throw some relevance in here:

2007–08 37 19 5
2008–09 37 17 8

They won't win the league this year. They will be close, but won't win it. And Aguero could go all guns blazing at the start, if Tevez leaves he's the main man, if Carlos stays, he could form a deadly partnership with his countryman, or flop. I'd like to see Tevez F Off and then leave it to Aguero. (For fantasy reasons obviously, don't care what the actual team does)

Did buying the league make blackburn rovers a big club? The way man city are run is a disgrace the turn over doesn't even cover the wages...they don't live in the real world...but what the hell they can just set up a dodgy sponsorship deal up....it depresses me. That they get away with it

They always will be the noisy neighbours ... even Beckham said recently that they'll never be as big as United.

Yeah, it is a superb film 8-)

and regarding those stats, it would seem that he is a very consistant goalscorer, hitting the peak thus far last season, so we can expect better things from him in the future. The question mark doesn't lie over his quality or scoring ability, it's of course whether he can adapt to the hustle of the EPL and the pace of it compared to the spanish game. I think, in my gut and mind that he will have a good debut season if he moves but maybe it will take him one or two years to hit full potential, then who knows what sort of star he could become.

Anyhows after what happened with dzeko and co I would only touch a man c player if they had just had a great fantasy football season or the player they signed was messi or ronaldo....

I don't see what Dzeko has to do with anything em. He played 15 games for Man City only scoring 2 goals. That was deemed not good enough, which I believe would be the same standards for Arsenal, Chelsea or United. If Gervinho only scores 2 in 15 games, would you expect Wenger to play him every week, would you be happy if he did?

Aguero will be a new signing and can only be taken on the merits that he has achieved himself, no good in moaning about other players failures up unto that point.

I agree Aguero hasn't proven himself in the PL but I still don't think Aguero can be compared to Dzeko...

Right so dzeko gets 15 games and if he doesn't perform the next performing monkey is brought in until they get it right...wonderful that really instills confidence in picking any man city player.....

What a way to run a club...

I just don't think you should let your personal opinions on a club's running effect the players you choose from them. We aren't taking moral high grounds here, we should be looking to pick the players with the highest scoring potential.

I totally agree... I'm saying they are a joke club.. but that doesn't mean you can rule out their players. Tevez was huge last season. Aguero could be good this season... too hard to say yet...

Dzeko was never as highly rated as Agüero is now. Mancini likes to play with one lone striker, a position he'll give Agüero the chance to prove himself in, should Tevez leave. Not sure if we're talking straight 90s from the start, but he certainly has the potential to become the star of the team. New signings, especially from different leagues, will always be a gamble, but few will have as high expactations to their name as Agüero. With City's relatively easy opening fixtures, many will be tempted, if the price is right and Tevez leaves (or Mancini assures us he'll play the two together).

1. Wait until he signs.
2. Wait to see if he plays.
3. GET HIM IN BECAUSE HE IS THE BOMB.

I have spoked.

If tevez stays I'll steer clear of aguero for the time being.

If tevez goes I don't think I'll be able to resist - aguero is quality.
