So how do you think they will enter 50,000 teams in their lunch break?

Exactly, it will be obvious if they use automation.

You can't just disqualify someone because it is obvious. Looking good for the Gnats.

ok, lets let them cheat then.

Congrats Tam, just a shame it was through such disregard of rules, getting refund of certain teams and claiming prizes through others is double standards, maybe Sun will do something about it all sooner rather than later, but I'm sure the Mirror or ANother newspaper will be loving this.. Sun need to really stick a firm hand out, now before it all happens again next season in a larger fashion.

I wonder just how many times the word 'automater' or 'automation' will come up in next years T&C's. Reckon when T&C's was looked at by all those attending last years meeting, the thought didn't even come in to anyones head. This is where the problem lies. Tam could argue that he didn't do anything wrong as automation wasn't against the rules from the start of the season. However, once it was caught within WDT, if they have automated afterwards (through transfer windows that followed), as long as it was altered in to the T&C's AT THAT POINT, then it would have to be proven and then The Sun should indeed act. However, if they haven't automated AT THE POINT AFTER, then I think they might just get away with doing it even at the start of the season unfortunately! Anyways....good luck with whatever happens boys and girls!

what a strange old season, still got CL final to go but I think tam has still won it...

I'm sure they'll invest even more next year, and get around the automation....they'll create an automator that enters teams at a slower rate or summit.

might start playing YTM and telegraph. Sure I'd piss those comps :P

You'd be good until September Dan then you'd get bored with doing transfers and lose to the experts. Stick to what you're good at. You've been unlucky with lack of Man U clean sheets. Hungry Gnats was 13th at TW3 and seems to have got the City scorers spot on.

I'm of the opinion that the Sun assisted Tam with entry to the system in the manner they did. The amount of money they were putting in allowed a 'special relationship'

Shame as it looked, for a while over last month or so, that even after swamping the competition they might not win. Not sure what will happen next season now, easy money for TAM again I suppose.

The subject of automation did come up at the meeting. Jules asked if it was a service that could be offered, i.e. you submit all your teams on a spreadsheet and they get uploaded. Quite a few of us, including myself were very much against this idea, as if you wanted to enter loads of teams, then you should have to put in the effort to do it. This acts as a barrier to keep things within reason. The t's and c's stated that entries had to be made via the web entry form, which I believe was bypassed. Perhaps they should have been clearer, specifically stating no automation, but I think it was a surprise to all, that the form of automation used was actually possible.

I think they will obviously include automation in the t's and c's next season, which will make things interesting from the Tam syndicate overladen with winners cash. I don't think they'd risk a massive automated entry, they could get some people to do it manually, but that has its own issues, as would need that labour every week for WDT if that stays the same. Plus despite having such a massive entry, they very nearly missed out, so there are no guarantees.

We'll see, let's just hope that the harsh lessons learned from dreamteam management this season enforces them to get their house in order. Surely someone of semi reasonable standing will want a quick once over of the copy before release in July of the new game?

I disagree… this seasons (as a format) was much better.

The previous one, you got allocated a random team.
There is so much luck involved in the game anyway, before you allocated a team with people like Ryan Babel or Aaron Lennon in it.

I aint playing this game next season if cheating is allowed. Tam broke into The Suns system and manipulated it. Should have been 100% disqualified as soon as he got caught.

I'm moving on to another FF game that is fair.

Fire The Sun an e-mail or better that a call, to tell them what you think.. if no one voices their opinion we may only all move on to let the cheat prosper again.

They know people are unhappy about it. If someone hooked up some system up to a website of mine I know what I would do. Seems The Sun aint too fussed about it. They have just fueled another season of fraud.

it just seems from here that if you pump enough cash into there game its ok to do the odd cheat or hack to gain an advantage

i feel sorry for those who finished runner up on wdt and lost 5000 pounds to boot to a mob picking players not even on the available list

joke

I agree.

I will be watching to see what happens next season, Be interesting to see the changed DT make. I would like to play but if it is flooded with Tams again you know theres something dodgy going on again. Should only be able to manage to input 500 teams max each and even that is a huge effort. It is probably not worth them focusing on the main prize next season with nowhere near as many as this season, they only just 'won' with thousands of mini leagues.
