The FISODAS Cup - Season 17

Week 3 is the Final Qualifying Round

Those that qualify will take part in Round One which will be played in week 5.

The Final will take place in Week 9

The qualifying round (week 3) will get the numbers down from 50 to 32.

The ten Premiership players will join the Cup in Round One. The remaining 40 players having to negotiate the qualifiers.

In order to get from 40 to 22 there will be 18 qualifying ties. Four players will be given byes into round one.

The four byes are:
Roodnose

Smurphy's Paw

The 22 qualifiers from the above will go into the draw with the ten Premiership players for the First Round Proper, which will take place in week five.

Games for rounds 1, 2, QF, SF and Final will be drawn randomly, by computer generated random numbers. (http://www.random.org/sequences)

Scoring in the Cup is exactly the same as for league games. You only enter one set of selections, and these are used for both competitions.

Bonuses apply in the cup just as they do in the league. Therefore, if you use a bonus in the league, this will count in the Cup even if you are drawn against a player who has immunity that week. Similarly, if you can't use a bonus in the league, you obviously don't use one in the cup.

In the event of a draw, there will be no replay. The outcome will be decided by :-

1/ The team that has scored the most goals
If still no winner
2/ The team that has cost the least
If still no winner
3/ The team that has been entered first

Another minnow in the cup - I wish I'd spent more time picking my team now - Barry you know I always lose to the lower divisions! I think youre having a laugh.And lets face it in league standings they don't come any lower than rock bottom! Oh I hate banana skins!

I took my FISODAS lads away for a few days training in Tenerife last week for some light training. Top class resort as well so the'yre refreshed and ready to whup some Conference ass this weekend 8-)

By the way, my cheapest player is probably worth twice the value of your whole team - that's what the papers will be focusing on :wink:
