1+4+1 0 3+1+3+3+1+1+2+3+1+1+1+1 = 27 points.

31 points if I'm allowed the spell out "nine".

35 points if I get 9 points for the 9.

Well done to Digsby for Bully's Special Prize who snatched victory in the Scrabble ahead of flyinkillercobs Busk When It's Xmas. The Z being worth a couple more points than the X was key to victory.

but

when you break it down it's really quite fascinating.
6 pts from the first word for only 3 letters,
and 6 pts from the 2nd word but 5 letters!

the plot thickens.
6 from 3 and 6 from 5.
that's 12 from 8
or 1.5 each
or, given the initial 100 budget,
12.5 £ per letter, or
8.33 £ per scrabble point. :shock:

and the other amazing thing is that my scrabble score was 12 and yet if you look at the number of squad members in my team, divide it by 0.5, then halve that tally, then subtract 3, you come to the exact same number! :shock:
