does anyone know how points will be awarded in events like the Presidents Cup and the Mission Hills World Cup (both are team events)??

interesting you should ask this. they appear to have removed both tournaments from the upcoming tournaments list and replaced them with two strokeplay tournaments in South africa (Alfred Dunhill and South African open).

Personally I think this stinks. My transfers look weeks ahead (not that my overall score reflects the amount of effort I put in) and I was aiming at players who were playing in the Presidents Cup. They have a perfectly good scoring system from the Ryder Cup that could be used for the Presidents Cup.

I have written to tell them my opinion (the phrase "i am sick of having to contact you due to your incompetent running of this game" was invoked) but I aint holding my breath for any sort of satisfactory response.

Have just seen the news about the last-minute change of scoring events. No surprise, really.

Wonder whether the Scotsman organisers and Silent Manager will ever get their act together? Participated here for a few seasons but decided against for the last two years because of the shambolic online administration and office communication. For example, the winning mini-league that I chaired in 2009 had to wait nine months before collecting the prize of a FISO fourball at Roxburghe. After numerous phone calls and emails was told by Mr BW the award could have been lost in the post...

In comparison to other sports (especially football) must say golf seems to get a raw deal in terms of the quality and quantity of fantasy games. Perhaps that's why other FISOns haven't yet voted with their feet in this particular case.

Good on polarbear and others for supplying event data so diligently.

Hi Pa,

I spoke to the Scotsman yesterday afternoon and should receive further details shortly, the Scottish Fiso'ers ability to make up a fourball is noted :)

Cheers

According to the tournament schedule, the Mission Hills World Cup is a counting event??

I thought this had been removed as it was a team event??

Also, did I dream it or was next weeks Chevron World Challenge previously on the list of events? Seems to have disappeared.

I am confused.

Where can you see the World Cup as a listed event?
Just looked and I can see the Chevron challenge next week and no world cup.
It wouldn't surprise me if things have changed though.
Two words. Silent Manager!
I will not be playing this game again if they are running it.

Very happy at this stage if Mr Goosen continues to perform throughout the rest of the weekend.
Only us in 11th and John Young in 5th have him (both as captain) with everyone else having either Els or Dyson as captain
(except Gaineys Grip with McIlroy as Captain  )

We may make the top 3 if Goosen wins and Els falls out of the top 10

Cheers mate,

I thought that might be the case on the weekly scores, hence my note regarding possible updates tomorrow.
"Officially", the new week does not begin until Tuesday when the new transfers are available.

Thanks Pa and Rubikqube :)

Not only did I finish 7th overall, I was the final monthly prize winner so I get a Callaway Diablo Octane or RAZR Hawk Driver :P

Would be great to know how long I have got to claim the driver / the phone number to ring to claim if any of you will actually be getting The Scotsman tomorrow.

I PM'd you the number last month, it should still be in your message box.

Well done on winning the monthly! you seem to have done rather well from the Scotsman game this year, despite it's faults!

Thanks Polarbear, I still have the number so will give them a call tomorrow.

Has anyone else won a driver yet this year? Do you have to decide on the spot, type, loft, shaft spec etc, or do you end up with a credit note for a driver to obtain from your pro / Callaway direct?
