Withdrew minutes before tee-off with a sore back.

You need to keep an eye on FISO's very own Golf Injuries/Withdrawal thread

Vijay's late, late withdrawal leaves me with just 6 starting this week. Fortunately captaining Molinari looks inspired as he leads in Morocco after an opening round of 6 under

4 of my 6 are currently in the top 10 (inc. Capt Molinari) (2x6th, 1x8th & 1x9th) - 1112 points if the Tournaments ended now

FISO also makes it's first appearance on the league of leagues table :D

Here's this weeks runners and riders for the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Andalucia Open.

Once again please check for errors!

I have sent the following Email to Silent Manager and will let you know when I receive a reply.

Hi Kim, I was hoping that you could clarify the following Mini League Rule.

6.3 Duplicate mini-leagues entered into the League of Leagues will be removed without question. Duplicate mini-leagues constitute a mini-league with the exact same teams entered and as such will NOT be eligible to win prizes.

There are 10 of us who are thinking of building our Mini Leagues as follows. Five of us each create 3 Mini Leagues, which we are allowed to do under the Rules. This will give us 15 Mini Leagues made up like this. Players 1-5 will be included in 8 of the Leagues and Players 6-10 will be included in 7 of the Leagues.(players numbered 1-10)

Leagues 1-2-3
1,2,3,4,5,
1,2,3,4,6,
1,2,3,4,7
Leagues 4-5-6
2,3,4,5,6
2,9,3,10,8
2,1,6,5,9
Leagues 7-8-9
3,8,4,5,9
3,9,7,5,10
3,1,2,6,10
Leagues 10-11-12
4,7,8,1,10,
4,7,9,1,8,
4,7,10,2,8
Leagues 13-14-15
5,6,7,8,9
5,6,7,8,10
5,6,9,1,10

None of these 15 Mini Leagues are Exactly the same so I assume that they would they be ok under Rule 6.3, but could you give me a ruling before I proceed.

Sorry to be such a pain again.
John Morrison

We will now have to re-think our Mini League Strategy after receiving this Email from Silent Manager.

Query Ref - 59906
Date Updated - 23/03/2010 16:35:20

Update Information :

Hi John,

Although these leagues are not exact duplicates they still consist of a majority of the same users. This may be perceived by other users as unfair and under our terms we deem this as un-sporting conduct within the game. Mini-leagues should consist of different users in each ideally, although your mini-league does not breach the term 6.3, if you where to become a winner all leagues would be looked into and user comments (if any passed) to the client for final say.

6.2 Any users that the company feels are not conducting themselves within the game with ‘Good Sporting Conduct’ will be removed from the game. Company's decision is final and the Company will not enter into any discussion about teams that are disqualified.

Kind Regards

To send additional messages about this query include the code [#S59906] in the subject of the email and send it to uq@silentmanager.com. The email will then automatically be assigned to the correct query. If the code [#S59906] is not included in the subject line of your email it will be rejected.

Just took a quick look at the teams directly above me, most still seem to have Harrington as Captain - they'll probably be making changes tonight/tomorrow. Of those that look to have made their weekly changes, Steve Stricker seems to be the Skipper of choice and I think given my good start it would be the sensible thing to follow this trend.

For those looking for a low risk gamble on their Captain, Phil Mickelson does not seem to have garnered much support. For those looking at a slightly riskier strategy, Villegas or Molinari both appeal. Whilst for those willing to risk it all - yes Padmole, I'm looking at you, Soren Kjeldsen in group 7 could catapult you up the leaderboard with a strong week.

I'd be happy to split it 1-5, 6-10 etc. if that's allowed instead of the blanket coverage you were suggesting. Rule 6.3 does seem to point towards teams in one big league not being allowed to break off into little splinter leagues. I don't think that objections to a couple of offshoot leagues would stand up but if for example we owned the top 20 then we could be kicked out.

No mid-table mediocrity for me! ;0)

Why not just pick the players you fancy AK - you are doing well early doors without following others. I am in the Danny Willet camp for a safe top 20 finish. ;0)

My team (currently 13th & still leading the FISO League - might as well still get the glory while I can)

Harrington
Mickelson :D
Stricker (C) :D
Poulter
Vijay  Villegas
F. Molinari :)
Donald  Kjeldsen 8-)
Laird

Only 6 starting again this week, Kjeldsen looks like a masterstroke after 1.5 days, Villegas not quite as good  but VJ had to go, given his injury problems. The team is reasonably well set up for Augusta. If I can get through this week with 4xtop10's (inc Stricker da Skipper) then I might just sneak into the top 10 (why don't we have a fingers crossed smilie  )

Sadly AK as is the theme with this frustrating little game I sense you have peaked too soon! I led the way for 2 weeks before only to lose interest at week 20 when nearly last! LOL

Hope it turns good again for you and your golf is in a better place on the course

With the Estoril Open de Portugal pushed back till June, we have just the one tournament (The Shell Houston Open) this week before the fun starts at Augusta.

As always, please keep in mind that players may withdraw or get added up till Wednesday.

With the delay to the US event the Scotsman / YEP sites won't be updated yet.
But if you have a transfer or 2 left over from last week I have posted the password on the proper thread.

Yes I do, and I emailed them yesterday about his missing 6th place finish points. Obviously nothing has been done about it yet :(
