A couple of months back I was down in around 2500 postion but have managed to claw my way back now to 42nd, probably too far behind to reach the top, especially given the absolutely ridiculous eight transfers allowed this week.

Dont you just hate that feeling when you wake up on a thursday and realise you have forgotten to do your transfers

So thats any hopes I had gone, leaving me just the 8 transfers to burn before sunday!

With the Monday finish to the DB event I clean forgot last night to use my remaining transfers to setup for this week. :x :x :x

If I did transfers on Sunday is there a chance that the scores for this week have been based on the amended team? I had E Molinari as captain and havent scored that many points me thinks???

Plausible or impossible?

Made a mistake there then, I understood the additional transfers were for Ryder Cup tinkering I thought they would be available until the Ryder Cup. Not a lot of point in giving them to you when you don't know the full teams. Still never mind.

I assume you brought in Stricker and F. Molinari in after the deadline?

Looks about right if that's the case.

42 points for players making the cut,
680 for E. Molinari
150 for Tiger
10 for Casey

The first casualties of the FedEx Playoffs are Glover, Harrington and Perry.

the good news this week is that the addition to the field in Portugal of Harrington and Hansen means we have representation in all 8 groups.

The bad news is we will probably need to use our transfers to switch Willett and Jimenez / McDowell out of our teams! :D

still a good fiso representation in the top 20. I've managed to claw my way back into 18th and pretty happy with my team setup at the moment.

I was looking back at last year, and it was late August that I started to make my charge, so im a bit behind schedule this year

Could be one of those interesting weeks though as theres the opportunity for a few differentials between the teams. I've got my hopes on a few anyway!

7 active this week for me, with 2 transfers safe in the bank for now

With just 30 players left for the Tour Championship (15 of them in the Scotsman) we will see a lot of similar teams this week.

The key will be who to choose as captain? :)

Girl Power. I just noticed that I am 54th on the overall leaderboard. If I win the trip for 4 to Spain which 3 of you boys should I invite along ? I notice that it says that the Hotel rooms are based on 2 people sharing, so who amongst you has the longest shaft on their driver

I was just checking scores and adding up totals for my team and then I noticed they had already been updated on the site.

2 minutes later it was locked down and asking for the new activation code.

They were a set of little eager beavers this afternoon

According to the results centre on the site each of Monty, Garcia and Clarke have been awarded 55 points this week, surely that can't be right.

Fair enough on the query but you can see how the thinking goes with 5 pts for being "In the team" and 50 points for being "on the winning team". What is not clear is about whether they needed to be a playing member and as it's not clear it could be argued that they were important members of the team.

I completely disagree with their points, not least because Silent Manager have provided guidance before the event that no points would be awarded to them.

If, as some have suggested, Harrington becomes full time caddie for Ross Fisher, should both players score points in each event that Fisher plays!

I didn't say I agreed with it, just that the official site rules were not as clear as they could have been.
The details blessedbrian obtained could be used against them in any disputes should this effect the outcome of any prizes.
As was discussed in a thread prior to the start, there were "Officially" no players from group 8 and therefore anyone picking the ideal team from groups 1-7 and adding Monty from 8 would have an advantage.

 What a shambles and farce.

I was toying with bringing Monty in to have an active player in each group but didn't on the grounds he wasn't playing.
