I just noticed something about this thread. There are only 39 of us in the Mini League but this thread has had 366 hits already. Obviously people from outwith Fiso are logging in to pick up the Password.

Either that or the same people have looked more than one time looking for the real password since the first didn't work. I am assuming each time I look for instance it adds one to the total.

Just a thought. Of course maybe it doesn't work like that.

Anyway, lots of places to get the password. i believe Stromness (Orkney) GC used to have it every week too.

FISO usually comes up pretty high in searches.

I think it's how I came across FISO.

Some other sports forums point their members in our direction.

Do I have to log in and activate?

After you have logged in you won't be able to go any further and change your team until you enter the weekly activation code, CATALUNYA. You only have to enter it once for this week, but next week you will need a new one again.

Are transfers cumulative? 2 per week, just for that week etc?

You can't build up transfers. (use them or lose them).
You will get 2 new transfers to use next week.

Don't think the site has updated yet, but you can sneak into the site with the code CALLAWAY if you have any unused transfers left over from last week.

I just tried to get on...I'll need a new password...still have one left from last week...anyone from category 8 playing this week with sim pulling out?

don't know dorf, but you have 3 transfers this week anyway - hard to imagine you'll need a 4th

who is the clown at The Scotsman who thinks that putting a weekly password in the paper will make more people buy the paper?

he/she clearly hasn't grasped that newspapers are on the way out or has just chosen to ignore the fact

I had to buy the paper on Tuesday morning to get the password. You can't get it from the Scotsman's web site.

forgot to use the transfers before today so my Mickleson captaincy becomes a wasted gain anyway :0(

so am i right in thinking that the previously useful cunning ruse of using unused transfers on a Monday then getting another allocation for the Tuesday has now been rendered impossible by the fact that the activation code is never available until the Tuesday

(I recall they were simply recycling code progressions from previous years and someone was able to regurgitate them - but they seem to have cottoned on and are using a new set- is that the issue?)

The last code (Shiskine) had never been used before but there's no pattern yet to the codes so far.

If they are going for Scottish golf clubs every week we may be able to anticipate what the code will be. But so far it's too soon to tell.

the cunning ruse still works, it just becomes more difficult if you leave it until monday.

I used my remaining transfer on sunday night fine, they seem to lock it down monday morning with the next weeks password.

I'll get the paper tomorrow morning and post the Activation Code at around 9.15am.
