Fixed your post for you Bert. If you're going to correct another person's typo, best to make sure you get your own house in order first.

Seems a bit harsh. I was only correcting someone who corrected someone who was correcting someone.

On topic is the way forward.

I'm concerned he's no longer a nailed on starter, with the defence looking solid without him and plenty of options in midfield. That said he's in my post-wildcard team at the moment.

Could be today you get rid then? Replaced by Ben Arfa (or Santon depending on your point of view) in starting XI.

I got him for 4.7 and he rose to 5.4 today.

I think he might regain his place in the team for the Blackburn game, so I will just 'wait and see'

you couldn't really call the Newcastle defense 'Solid' on yesterday's showing. Problem is he's now battling for a midfield place, which on paper he'd lose out on, although he does get results when he plays there...

I agree with the watching brief on this one. Too good to get rid of him if he gets back to regular starts, but could be a thorn in the side for the next half of the season also.

Just to note, Cahill is worth less and if he starts for chelsea next week.....

I pulled the plug this GW despite what I said above. I panic wildcarded and needed a few 0.1m. Analysis of his future oppos versus the first half of the season plus risks of not playing made my mind up. It's easier with a cheap player as there are always others (e.g. Cahill) who can replace him whereas with someone like Silva you might never be able to fill the hole.

After shipping 5 goals does anyone think Pardew will reinstate the original back 4. I can't afford to have 5 minutes on the pitch by Taylor moving forward...

I think there is a chance he could. Newcastle heads went down after the pen and within 9 minutes I think it was 3-1?

Santon and Ben Arfa had decent games though so theres always a chance of him being left out again, but he is worth keeping just to see...

He's off colour so he's back to normal, thank god.

Now he will be benched just to piss me off.

Anyone know if he's likely to keep his spot? Was he withdrawn because of rustiness or was pardew peeved? Mixed reviews of the (in all honesty far better) Ben arfa could he be in line to start

Already regretting bringing him in Last week as I already had santon and could now use that free transfer this week

The stats say this:

Newcastle WITH Raylor.
Min 1889
Conceded 23
Minutes between goals conceded 82.1

Newcastle WITHOUT Raylor
Min 451
Conc. 15
Minutes 30.1

This looks pretty convincing, but then the bonus points are based on stats too...

I don't think anyone can say for sure at the moment. The best we can go on is that Pards has referred to recent lineups with raylor at RW as his "best team".

Personally I expect him to start most games whilst his form holds up, but I'd say he's the only unsecure player in the starting eleven at the moment. If any of HBA, Obertan etc get a start it will be at his expense. The rest:

Krul
Simpson, Willo, Colo, Santon
(?), Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez
Ba, Cisse

pick themselves (or rather seem nailed on in Pardue's mind).

Edit: to sum up I think he's a hold if you have him, but not sure I'd be looking to get him in if I didn't (which I don't).

The problem for Raylor owners isn't so much whether he starts, although it goes without saying that is very important, but IMO STaylor's absence has definitely hit the barcodes at the back, and he isn't getting better any time soon.

Without CSs, selling Raylor for profit if you were an early owner is near enough a must.
