Ronaldo, Lampard, Rooney and Drogba.

If you were choosing two from these four which two would you have and why? For me it's the two midfielders, no-brainer.

The two midfielders, as they are also the likely penalty takers for their clubs

I've actually gone for Rooney and Lampard in my team, just because I like Rooney as a palyer and think he has the potential to score big in every game he plays.

Rooney over Ronaldo.

If you compare last years goals/assists of Rooney and Ronaldo they're pretty similar. 17 goals 8 assists for Ronaldo. 14 goals 11 assists for Rooney. Both involved in 25 goals each then.

Who do expect to improve from last year?.... Rooney, who do i expect to do less well this year? Ronaldo.

So on goal scoring and assisting i'd go with Rooney. Bonus however are also aa factor as are CS's but less so. With this years Man Utd squad I think the Bonus points are gonna be spread around much much more, with the likes of Tevez stealing a fair few.

Also Rooney is better value being around 0.5mil cheaper atm and being a striker saves you another 1mil due to the fact that they're more expensive to buy. 5mil as opposed to 4mil.

Ronaldo had an incredible season last year and to reproduce that this year is a very big ask and so far on current perfromances he doesn't look like doing so imo. As Jonathon said he does look stifled by Tevez, who i think will start most games this season.

I also think this partnership of Rooney and Tevez benefits Rooney massively, he's stopped dropping as deep as he did last year, with Tevez taking over that role a bit more.

Lampard over Drogba

Purely based on recent form and last years (and the year before's) totals. Lampard has been very consistent with his points and is showing that already this year. Obviously midfielders have better points potential than forwards. Also Lampard is 1 mil cheaper which is a fair bit of cash.

Thats what i reckon anyway Rooney and Lampard. Though I may very well bring Ronaldo in aswell at some point if he starts showing a bit better form.
