Not aiming to win the sun Top Prize just my works league (£300!!! will pay for stag do next year) so hoping consistent performers will do it:

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m - obvious i think. english #1 occassional mom?
DEF T Vermaelen ARS £5.0m - guaranteed starter if fit. hope he can rediscover form of 2009/2010
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m - europe. again nailed on starter. odd goal
DEF J Collins AST £3.0m - villa defence should be tighter under mcleish and also with given in net
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m - as hangeland
MID J Wilshere ARS £4.0m - if nasri/fabregas go, will prob be arsenals playmaker
MID F Lampard CHE £7.5m - has he still got 200+ in him? i think so although his price is a little off puting
MID S Sinclair SWA £2.5m - prob my only gamble. can he reproduce championship form in prem?
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m - only certain starter for MU. expecting big things this year from roo
STR J Defoe TOT £4.5m - only decent striker at spurs so will start and score if fit
STR B Zamora FUL £3.5m - europe. will get goals. 150 point should be expected

i'm still a little unsure about some (defoe, zamora, vermaelen - injury prone) so please offer any advice/alternatives.

cheers

DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m
DEF J Collins AST £3.0m
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m

MID J O'Hara WOL £2.5m - cheap enabler but a still a class player
MID F Lampard CHE £7.5m
MID S Sinclair SWA £2.5m
STR L Suarez LIV £5.5m - bit of a gamble as no europe and possibly rested after copa.

Good team I like it.

I wouldn't have picked O'Hara to be honest. Maybe change him for Pratley and upgrade Huth to Micah Richards or Lescott (depending on who's starting), but that's only my opinion, you could keep it the same and it would still look good :D

Ok so i resisted tinkering for a week but had to get Enrique in now he's gone to Liverpool

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m
DEF V Kompany MCY £5.5m
DEF J Enrique NEW £2.0m
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m
MID F Lampard CHE £7.5m
MID J O'Hara WOL £2.5m
MID S Sinclair SWA £2.5m
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m
STR D Bent AST £5.5m
STR B Zamora FUL £3.5m

Got a million left over and thinking of upgrading O'Hara or Sinclair to A Taarabt of QPR (£3.5) or Defoe instead of Zamora... but then do i really need to use the full £50mill? hmmmm????

Stick with Zamora over defoe , cheaper and will get more game time ( barring injuries) .

I'm getting a bit stressed about this now, ha.... very sad i know! the more i look at it the bigger the holes i pick in it get!

Gotta to be finalised by thursday night so here it is... up to now:

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m - nailed on good pick i think.. or should i have Given and use the cash elswhere.. arrggh!
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m - europe. certian starter. potential star man + goals
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m - a doubt now as stoke have 4 quality CB's (when all fit) who will be 1st choice
DEF V Kompany MCY £5.5m - wanna keep him (200+ pts) put should downgrade & spread the cash elsewhere?
DEF R Johnson WOL £2.0m [/b]- cpt so certain starter. poss 7+'s & statr man but will wolves leak goals? o'shea?[/b]
MID V Moses WIG £2.0m - wanted mccarthy but apparently he's out 10 weeks+ ankle crock. any better options?
MID C Dempsey FUL £4.0m - 120points. maybe swap for ramsey/wilshere at TW1 depending how they do
MID F Lampard CHE £7.5m not the lampo of old but should get 250+ points
STR B Zamora FUL £3.5m europe. is 150 points resonable to expect?
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m only mu player who wont rotate. maybe wont get the goals but should get 300 points
STR D Bent AST £5.5mnot renowed for 7+'s but will get goals. maybe swap for augero or suarez at TW1

cheears for the feedback

although top of my works league by 18 points, i'm mindful of the fact that the best teams always want to improve  so i'm thinking of the following transfers:

defence is ok, i think, so just midfied/attack that needs a little tweaking...

Zamora OUT - he's struggled a bit with injuries which could continue all season plus Jol seems to prefer Dempsey and Johnson up front.
Lamaprd OUT - AVB is trying to regenerate Chelsea and while i doubt Lamps will be dropped, he isnt the main man anymore and others are likely to get the goals/ MOM's ahead of him e.g mata - £'s could be used better elsewhere
£13m

Silva IN - yes theres a risk of rotation (as there is with most city players) but everything is going through him at the moment and the sun are fond of the 'flair' players. plus eveyone else seems to have him so need to keep up with the pace.
Suarez IN - OR Agureo but am weary of having to many city players plus again he's a risk of rotation. Suarez is first choice and in form. How important are Euro games though?
£13m

i could have both suarez and Agureo by ditching Bent but i might wait to make that descison at TW2 as Bents doing ok so far....

thoughts / suggestions please?

also now thinking of Petrov in for Moses as Petrov is apparently a first choice for the white men and from what i've seen is playing well. Although Moses has made a decent start, i can see Wigan really struggling for goals this season.

Petrov has previous, Moses has potential.
Both are at clubs that will struggle through the season.

Ok after dropping a clanger by not taking FISO's members advice and keeping Lampo, i am here with my tail between my legs asking for feedback my team. This time i'll do what my girlfriend is alsways telling me to do and listen more!!!

As it stands:

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m 32
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m 40
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m 26
DEF V Kompany MCY £5.5m 29
DEF R Johnson WOL £2.0m 17
MID V Moses WIG £2.0m 20
MID D Silva MCY £5.5m 23
MID C Dempsey FUL £4.0m 49
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m 87
STR E Dzeko MCY £4.0m 3
STR L Suarez LIV £5.5m 13
TOTAL 48.5m

Thinking:
OUT Dzeko, Moses & Johnson - Budget remaining £9.5m
IN S Taylor, Mata & Defoe - Budget remaining 0m

Tayor - back in favour and playiing an in form (for now anyway) Newcastle team and i needed to save half a million to fund my other two transfers anyway.
Mata - getting game time and points plus europe.
Defoe - europe, first choice and back in the goals

any help? please!!!

As an alternative how about...........

OUT
Johnson
Moses
Dzeko

IN
P Jones
Mata
A Johnson

or

Coloccini
Mata
Sturridge

Just throwing some other ideas in the mixer.....

Good luck
Would appreciate comments/ vote on my post please.
Thanks
Brad

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m
DEF V Kompany MCY £5.5m
DEF S Taylor NEW £1.5m
MID J Mata CHE £3.5m
MID D Silva MCY £5.5m
MID C Dempsey FUL £4.0m
STR W Rooney MAN £8.0m
STR E Adebayor TOT £4.5m
STR L Suarez LIV £5.5m
TOTAL 50m

Have to do transfers early as i'm on holiday during the window (getting a mate to do it) and my thinking so far is:

OUT
S Taylor - ankle knack means he's likely to be out for the season
L Suarez - Potential ban(s) cos of racism row and swaering plus could tire after after busy 18 months and either be rested or not perform
E Adebayor - unpredictable, gets goals but not many star men's
£11.5m

IN
V Persie - yes the masses will do it but thats the only way to keep up isnt it?
A Williams - the new roger johnson! but will swansea eventually leak goals?
D Ba - best i could see for the remaining £2.5m but will his and newcastles bubble burst?
£11.5m

any thoughts appreciated.

I would take out Taylor, Rooney and Suarez
Vermaelen in at the back and take your pick up front.

Adebayor is worth the risk at that price and will start every game

Currently top of my works league by a measly 2 points with team below so not looking to make any huge changes or gambles but any advice would be welcome.

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m
DEF V Kompany MCY £5.5m
DEF P JONES MAN £3.5m
MID J Mata CHE £3.5m
MID D Silva MCY £5.5m
MID C Dempsey FUL £4.0m
STR V Persie ARS £7.5m
STR E Adebayor TOT £4.5m
STR E Dkeko MCY £4.0m
TOTAL 50m

Thinking:

OUT
P Jones - Currently injured and out of form. the sun do like him though and Uniteds depleted defence may be forced to stick with him through his rough patch.
E Dkeko - Will get games but even with Citys array of providers he's looking like he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo
TOTAL 7.5M

IN
J Enrique - first choice and playing well, should get a few extra games with liverpools cup runs.
L Suarez - rested and back with a point to prove. Only Stevie G can take MOM points off him.
TOTAL 7.5M

also to consider is the obvious risk of injuries to potential incomers if i do the transfers before the spurs v liverpool game or of the site crashing if i wait untill after!

Now thinking...

OUT - Adebayor, Jones and Dkeko = 10m

IN - Bale, Suarez and A Williams = 10m

any thought on which trannies are better?

would a switch to a 4-4-2 from a 4-3-3 be a mistake at this stage or does it not really matter?

If i drop Adebayor for Bale and therefore have four in midfield, as long as all six are scoring decent points surely it doesnt really matter which position they play in does it?

so went with the below team in a 4-4-2 and it didnt really work :( - slipped to fifth in works league.

now need some top tips please to get back up in the money positions... willing to gamble at this stage!

GK J Hart MCY £4.5m
DEF B Hangeland FUL £4.0m
DEF V Kompany MCY £5.5m
DEF A Williams SWA £1.5m
DEF R Huth STO £3.5m
MID J Mata CHE £3.5m
MID C Dempsey FUL £4.0m
MID D Silva MCY £5.5m
MID G Bale TOT £5.0m
STR R van Persie ARS £7.5m
STR L Suarez LIV £5.5m
TOTAL £50

thinking of sacrificing huth and/or hangeland for cheaper defenders and going for rooney up front instaed of bale, silva or suarez

thanks Tadpole.

heres how the top 5 in my works league looks (i'm 5th):

1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th
cech schwarzer hart hart hart

lescott ekotto ekotto richards williams
collocini collocini enrique enrique huth
kompany dunne clichy kompany hangeland
o'shea shawcross jones shawcross kompany
dyer bale chamberlain bale bale
silva silva silva chamberlain silva
mata mata mata mata mata
aguero aquero aquero aquero dempsey
rooney rooney rooney rooney suarez
van persie van persie van persie suarez van persie

thinking i need to get rooney in (for silva?) to keep pace which means downgrading a couple of defenders
kaboul for huth
and
collocini for hangerland

or
rooney, p cisse and vermarlen
for
suarez, huth and silva?
