Before anyone joins the Mini League I would just like to clarify how the money will be split should the Mini League win the end of season £2,000 first prize. The prize money will be split as follows between the managers of the top 10 teams:

1st - 20% = £400
2nd - 17.5% = £350
3rd - 15% = £300
4th - 12.5% = £250
5th - 10% = £200
6th - 8% = £160
7th - 7% = £140
8th - 5% = £100
9th - 3% = £60
10th - 2% = £40

Total - 100%

Are the superleagues averages based on top 10 teams? I so, and if we only have 10 teams, then if someone under performs we may be in trouble.

Is this superleague for fun and/or prizes? Also whats the plan regarding any prizes if we win any i.e. 25% for top team etc.?

Also, whens the first match in the SPL. I need to stop tinkering with that 11 you fired at me.

I think the average is based on all the teams in the mini-league so It's doubtfull we'll win but you never know. The SPL kicks off on saturday so you can carry on changing your team until then. I've pretty much decided on my team apart from two midfielders, currently I have Cowie 2m & Zemmama 1m. I've just done a little research & Zemmama hasn't featured in any pre-season games, is he injured or possibly at the Olympics?

That's correct Peoples, unlike the Sun's main game the SPL Mini League Game is based on the average score of ALL teams in the league. We now have 11 in the league which may not be a bad thing because it helps concentrate the mind. Last season I had 27 teams in the league and the bottom 5 were a nightmare and only dragged our league down. It would appear that this year because of the way the Sun have changed the system people are finding it difficult to get the minimum of 10 players together to form a league, therefore I think that this will increase our chances of winning.

Double injury blow for Hibs as season approaches

HIBS are facing a double injury blow for the start of the new season with striker Abdessalam Benjelloun set to join midfielder Merouane Zemmama on the sidelines.Zemmama will definitely miss the SPL opener at Kilmarnock on August 9 as he recovers from a broken foot and fellow-Morroccan Benjelloun is struggling to recover from a knee injury sustained on international duty last month.

Boss Mixu Paatelainen said: "Merouane is working hard but is still a couple of weeks away and won't make the Kilmarnock game. Benji will be touch and go for the start of the season."

I'm always confused by this competition's mini league rules. As per T&Cs the closing date for entry to a mini league is Sat. 13th Sept. Does that mean that the score your team has
accrued up to that point counts towards mini league average in the one you join on that date? You'd think so, but I'm not 100% and don't have any confidence in the help desk.
Last year a few of us tried to be clever and put our better teams into groups of five near the deadline, but I don't think those entries were accepted

Pointless me putting my speculative teams in your league Pa as I like to gamble in this one, and would bring your average down - perhaps some others feel that way too. Just wish they'd amended it to average of top few teams as they did in the main game.

Don't know what's happening at Hibs - apparently the manager has told nine players they're not good enough to play for the club I'm hoping the situation clarifies slightly before the weekend as you'd think Hibs would have top 5 aspirations.

Thanks for the info on Zemmama pa102aw, I only checked Hibs' pre-season games & saw he hadn't featured. My team is now finalised barring any last minute injuries so good luck.

I've just been back to the site and noticed a change regarding Mini Leagues that appears to have happened overnight. !!!

It was always a minimum of 10 teams required to form a league but I just noticed the following.

7. Mini Leagues and Private League Bulletin Boards:
Once registered, entrants may be given the option at no additional charge via the Game Websites to create or join a Game Mini League. The closing date to enter a team into a Mini League is 12:00:00 BST Saturday 13 September 2008. A Mini League may have unlimited teams and to be eligible for a prize, must consist of a minimum of five teams and must not be comprised of substantially identical teams and /or must not be substantially submitted by the same entrant or group of entrants

I have just phoned them about this moving of the goalposts and they say that they will get back to me about it. I am sitting patiently by my phone.

It was 5 teams last season, and its been 5 teams since the game launched this season. The English Sun Dreamteam game is 10 teams.

That makes the mini league null and void, If you win you will be disqualified. Very silly of Mr MccLuskey as he has also ruined his own chances. I have removed my mini league details from this thread to prevent it being hi-jacked by multi entrants, so if anyone want's it they will have to PM me.

From SSDT t & c's:

'The end-of-Game Mini League prize of £2,000 will be awarded to the creator of the Mini League whose average score (determined by the total scores of each team divided by the total number of teams in that Mini League) is highest at the end of the Game. A Mini League must comprise a minimum of 5 teams to qualify for a prize. Where a Mini League entry of just 5 teams has been identified by the promoter as having substantially identical teams or having been substantially been submitted by the same entrant, the Mini League may be invalidated for a prize. An assessment will be made by the promoter and all factors taken into consideration.'

Does that mean it is valid or invalid
