First few lines below are from the Sun after match on-line report

"PAUL SCHOLES led a second-half romp that kept United three points clear in Champions League Group C. Darren Fletcher, Gabriel Obertan and Bebe were United's Burs snatchers as they nicked three neat goals. But it was veteran Scholes who did most to add gloss to what was initially a second-gear United display."

But the Sun only see fit to give a 6 :?

Typical Sun Shite, Paul Scholes run's the show but gets a lower rating than the other Midfielders. Obviously they still havn't managed to get the reporter to do the ratings. Maybe next season hey

Bale was quite good though

the points should be changed 1 extra point for a 7.. 2 extra for a 8... 3 for 9.... and 4 for 10

it would make more sense and would stop a lot of people being so pissed with the sun for giving a dodgy 7

Vdv a 6 typical bloody sun, he was superb 1st half if he had come on and done that 2nd half he would have got an 8, Adam Johnson played 21 mins and scored a few weeks back and got star man, Vdv did more first half than Johnson did that day

Can anyone get Dave Watkins to confirm whether the guy who wrote the report also awarded the ratings? If he did he deserves a bollocking and needs to amend Scholes' rating. The Sun don't half make things difficult for themselves re. criticism about the running of the game. It's elementary stuff

Will be enquiring about that 6 rating, from me viewing a 7 would be unkind. and from their report, an 8 would seem fitting alongside a MOTM award. I'm really starting to think they are bending the ratings to what they want, the reporter doesn't seem to agree with the 'rater' or however you can word it.. it's not right.

I fully expect Scholes to be star man in the paper. If not, I suggest they do what I told them to do at the HQ visit and publish the ratings on the net first thing in the morning to match what is printed. Although we all like to get the ratings ASAP, it'd save us all staying up late and more importantly it would save all sorts of arguments when a newspaper rating discrepancy affects the outcome of which team/league win a prize :?

Yeah but according to Dave and Tony Warner at the meeting the reporter and the rater should be one and the same :?

Scholes completed 100 out of 107 passes and played a sublime ball for Bebe's goal. Sky Sports rated him an 8, Goal.com rated him 8 and MOM.
