Artist and song. Use of internet based search engine's is strictly frowned upon and may incur the displeasure of transvestite cage fighters.

1. Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin
And eyes of emerald green

2. Brosandi
Hendumst í hringi
Höldumst í hendur
Allur heimurinn óskýr
Nema þú stendur

3. The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear

4. that blue-eyed girl
she said no more
that blue-eyed girl
became blue-eyed whore

5. Lindsay was my first love she was in my class
I would have loved to take her out but I was too shy to ask
The fullness of my feeling was never made clear

6. Eyes that tell me incense and peppermints
Your looks are larger than life, long live innocence

7. Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell

8. We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
We might take it home

9. I went to a shrink
To analyze my dreams
She says it's lack of sex
That's bringing me down

10. Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie

Bonus question - which song includes acetaminophen in the chorus?

Yes, yes and yes.

Good shout on the Waterboys - one of my favourite songs at the moment.

You'd have to be a pretty hardcore Sigur Ros fan to name the song from the 'lyrics' to be fair

Think Planet Earth...

Just 4 and 8 to go.

Suppose I'm not too surprised at 4, although thought someone would get it.

Thought 8 would go early though, especially as several people have named the album it came off as one of their albums of the decade.

Well maybe some people just have more delicate tastes?

seeing as this is about to drop off page 2, the missing one's are PJ Harvey's Down by the Water and Damien Rice's Delicate.

Strangely seems to be very few PJ Harvey fans on here.

Oh and the Sigur Ros song was Hoppipolla, but there's no way anyone would have got that unless it was an intelligent guess or googled

I haven't got any albums by PJ Harvey but I do have that excellent track on a couple of compilations. I half recognised the lyric but just couldn't place it so in the end, I had to Google it as it was bugging me for most of last night.

The whole album is great (To bring you my love) - worth a listen on spotify, as is Stories from the City, Stories from the sea.

Dry is also a fantastic album, but a lot rawer - think Surfer Rosa or the White Stripes first album, only less polished

She is a bit marmite to be honest, especially the early stuff, but when she's good, she's very very good.

All her albums are very good then  - except the awful White Chalk which somehow made Uncut's recent (pretentious) top 150 albums of the decade.
