Can anyone tell me the difference between Platinum label games and normal ones.

I have to get a game for the boys for Christmas and the price difference for this game is 15€ between platinum and just standard.

Platinum games are just games that were popular when originally released so are released again at a set time (6months/a year?) later on the platinum label. Its been around since PS1, and isnt perhaps as popular or relevant now due to the second hand games market. Uncharted 3 Drakes Deception was released a couple weeks ago at £39.99 in time for Christmas, so the platinum version will probably come out at £19.99 in the summer.
