I've not had the best of seasons so far... so i'm going to break the season promise I made myself and ask for some advice!!!
Did however get 54 points or so this weekend....
Heres what I have....

Howard
Eboue
Terry
Finnan
Mellberg (tfw1)

Ronaldo
Sidwell (tfw1)
Fabregas

Rooney
shevchenko
mccarthy (tfw1)

(tfw = transfer window)

I'm thinking Shev and Fabricarse out, Barry and Lampard in
and maybe finnan or mellberg out.... comment appreciated..... (I reckon Sidwell will score some points, and for the price I'm not looking at changing him)

possible defenders for 4m are Dawson and Agger. both seem to get good ratings most weeks.

What about Cudicini? I am still not convinced Cech is going to be out all season but if he is surely he is going to be a bargain in the next window.

Looks a good idea...the fact is that Hilario's doing really well every time is called upon... :?

I picked Cech last season for my GK which was an expensive mistake because while he scored decent points because Cudicini played most cup games and the non-important Europe games it meant Cech didnt score as many as other GKs.

Even if Chelsea do the same now with Cudicini and Hilario because Cudicini is so cheap he should still be excellent value for money. He got 29 points in November which is the best scoring GK, the closest being 24 for Van Der Sar and 23 for Reina.

The real question is whether Cech will be back at all this season.

The second Transfer Window will run from 00:00:01 GMT on Monday 29 January 2007 to 15:00pm on Saturday 3 February 2007 (UK time), with transfers taking effect from eligible games played on Saturday 3 February 2006.

I don't think there's much point to transfering out players who continue to play but have not hit form.

Look at Gerrard and Rooney for example. Prime candidates for the chop to some people at the last window, yet have come good. Players perform at different times, you're unlikely to catch them right. Say you ditched those two and replaced them with Henry and Lampard, have you gained ground on anyone? No.

Look at Johnson's form and now Drogba's. They have their spell, then you take your non-scoring but playing player out, bring them in and then you've got another non-scorer.

If the player is out of the team on a consistent basis and you can upgrade, do so, but if they're playing, I think you should leave well alone.

Drogba's hit 65 points since the window!

But I see your point.

my issue with goalies is pretty simple - I'm not at all bothered who's in net. The points difference is negligable and to get carlo, I'd have to lose Terry or Lampard, which isn't going to happen!

Of course if you have gone the Chelsea route for 8M players I can understand, but the only Chelsea player I have at the moment is Carvalho and am thinking of swapping Nolan for Essien, either that or having Cudicini.

I dont think (outside of the two 8M picks) there is good value for money with many of the Chelsea players so I think it is feasible quite a few people have a spare Chelsea slot going.
