Anyone tempted by Tiger this week? I guess saving him for the WGC Matchplay / Masters / US Open would be the smartest play. Still I bet a lot of the US players go with the hype of a US tour debut and pick him this week anyway.

That leaves winless Fowler, can't keep the ball in play Mickelson and injured (or not) course specialist DJ as the bookies favourites :P

Tiger not for me this week, though I am taking a punt on one of the afore-mentioned in one of my teams

Only 2 of the top 9 played Monterey yesterday

Tiger and Dustin looking like the form horses to me, and they've been picked no less than 99 times between them this week

So can Tiger go really low at Monterey today?

Hope not, for the sake of my teams

TW birdies the first hole!

I do have DJ + TW in my second team, so hopefully they will help drag me up the table.

Yes on top but with four Mulligans used, will probably be doing well to finish top ten

But in High Stakes 1 I'm 2nd with only one Mulligan used :P

High Stakes 1 (currently in second place)

Mickelson -6, Donald L, Baddeley L

Donald is 33/1 to win, Baddeley 66/1, but far more at the top of the league have selected Baddeley, gutting to drop him and then see him win!

Whether to drop either of them for Kuchar / Perez / Bubba?

Guess I could stick with both and hope Mickelson moves clear (or burn a Mulligan on Sunday).

Views most welcome (before 5pm please :P)

Purse shown on the web site is wrong as 5-8, 9-16, 17-32, 33-64 will all earn the same amounts

Round of 64 sat sub is no brainer, as I imagine a round of 32 sat sub / probably mulligan, but what about round of 16 original pick (twice money) vs potentially only round of 8 (single money)?

If anyone was lucky enough to have all three make quarters and then one lose would that justify a mulligan for potentially half earnings on semi final defeat? Money will need to more than double each round to be sure of earning more!

With a whole bunch of shock quarter finalists would be good to know how prize money stands this week.

Prize money is 1st $1.4m, 2nd $850k, 3rd $600k, 4th $490k, QF $270k, 16 $140k, 32 $95k and 64 $45k.

So a starting line up QF earns $540k but sat sub / sun mul 4th only $490k!

Given that they will have been unpicked to date McIlroy and Westwood are bound to dominate today's subs.

Certainly an interesting conundrum this week!

I had Poulter and Haas in my worst performing team, so no tricky decision there!

Other has Furyk (so that's the Sat transfer) with Kaymer and McIlroy :?

So do I hold Kaymer (and accept $280K) or use a precious Mulligan to potentially only get $490K? :?

Guess I've got to go for it really, the smell of that $1.4m is too tempting

Picked up McIlroy with my sat sub in High Stakes 1. Pretty much just damage limitation at this point!! Strange position but actually think I will still be happier if he gets beaten !!

Donald, Poulter and Simpson all going home on day 1 was a diaster for me, subbing in McIlroy and mulligan on Mahan probably won't repair the potential damage.

I had McIlroy in High Stakes 1 so I guess I am routing for him, although Mahan was a total gent at The Open taking photos and signing autographs (on the practice days).

Some sort of redemption for Mahan should he win the final after what happened to him the Ryder Cup in 2010 and Fed Ex Cup Haas up and down from the lake last year!

I brought in Vaughn Taylor who goes on to shoot a 74 after rounds of 68 and 66!
Then Oosthuisen withdraws!

I'm glad I don't have to make a living out of predicting how golfers will do!

Dropped Woods (ok for McIlroy) but wasted a mulligan

Low rounds from Woods and Westwood must have left a lot of players frustrated across the PTFG Leagues

Picking any of the big four (Rory, Tiger, Lee or Phil) this week :?

I guess they will have already been picked by most at least once, so picking them this week will burn up a Mulligan in picking for a third time at the Masters

The supporting cast is pretty strong Schwartzel, DJ, Watney, Mahan, Donald, Kaymer, Bradley.......

Hmm only four hours to decide!
