If you've never played before Pro Tour Fantasy Golf, you should give it a try. I think you'll find the website top-notch and easy to use. Both formats are a fun of ton. You won't a find a U.S. PGA Tour fantasy golf game with better cash prizes, odds, and customer service. I'm sure there are other FISO members who will happily vouch for that.

Don't wait to the last minute to sign-up as most leagues have been filling up earlier and earlier each year.

In my view definately the best US Fantasy Golf game (then again I would say that as I have been quite successful at it ).

Horton Mumblemouse, Deadogsmoking, Toffeelover, Trickster and Peoples all played during 2011 and I'm sure they would echo John's comments on top cash prizes, great winning odds and first rate customer service. A user friendly web site, e-mail reminders to post your selections / Saturday subs and banter in the Clubhouse (forum) complete a great fantasy golf package.

Would be good to see a few more Fisoer's in 2012

Yes I'm in. First time at this so not expecting too much, but it looks like fun.

Awesome Ted! Thanks for playing. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post them here as I'm sure your fellow FISO participants will be more than happy to help you out. It's a very supportive and lively bunch.

Just one question springs to mind, can you select non PGA tour players in co-sanctioned events, so for example the likes of Quiros, Kaymer etc, or is there a defined list of players available in the game?

More often than not they'll already be on the list Ted.

But if not, simply email John and he'll add them to the list.

For any newbies, here's a few tips I posted 2 years ago:

1. Save your best players for the tourns with the highest money pots - you pick the winner of the Players Champ in your orig 3 and you're half way there . I'm not joking here, the top 9 from last year all chose Stenson at the Players
2. Try not to use players for the 2nd time unless you're very confident - sods law says they'll miss the cut then contend the next week when you'll have to burn a Mulligan to bring them in.
3. Try to use mulligans for "sure things" only eg. Joe Bloggs going into last round with a seven shot lead. You have to make big bucks with those 6 mulligans
4. Don't forget your free transfer on Saturday!
5. Dont get demoralised early doors, the winner last year only picked the winner of the tournament 4 times from his 72 original picks
6. Keep an eye on the session (4 weekly) prizes, $50 pays for 2 entries next year

Don't pay too much attention to them though, I didn't win a thing!

For those who are interested, PTFG League 2 starts on Feb 2nd - Pick 3 Class format ($25 entry):

This league is actually 25 weeks instead of the normal 24 so you get a bonus tournament. Even better, the season ends with The Open Championship on July 19th.

Two new PTFG leagues start with The Honda Classic on March 1st (Pick 3 format). Both leagues include all 4 majors running through the PGA Championship in mid-August:
