Sign-ups for Pro Tour Fantasy Golf 2011 is now online:

http://www.protourfantasygolf.com/

If you've never played before, Pro Tour Fantasy Golf is 24-week contest that is easy to play. Simply pick 3 US PGA golfers each week and earn points based on their winnings. There are cash prizes to be won. You won't a find a U.S. PGA Tour fantasy golf game with better odds and customer service. I know there are other FISO members who will vouch for that. I hope some more FISO members will join us in 2011.

It was 9 John but I just put a team into league 1 a few minutes before your post. I also stuck a team into the highstakes 1 again too.

Thanks for signing up, Michael (times 2).

I should have also mentioned our High Stakes League ($100 USD) entry which has the best payouts of all:

http://www.highstakes1.protourfantasygolf.com/prizes

This league is limited to 65 teams and first place is $1500 USD. We currently have 2 FISO teams playing with 31 openings left. This league also starts on Thursday.

Thanks for signing up for HS1 Shaun and Ian. We're up to 55 teams so only 10 spots left in the $100 USD high stakes league. The $25 League 1 is full, but still have openings in the $25 League 5:

Best of luck Richard.

Should be an interesting High Stakes League with five FISO'ers :P

I see all Fiso'ers in the High Stakes went for Els & Scott. Early days but not a great start for either.

With Els, Scott & Day, Ogilvy is starting to look like a pretty good pick to me

At least we all whipped Ogilvy out

See 17 out of 84 entered in the High Stakes fell for the Ogilvy drop out :P

I was also impressed by the guy who picked Fowler, but the prize goes to the manager who I do believe chose Goosen  (though I think it's been changed to a no show to spare his blushes!)

Do feel for Micolepoolman who managed to pick Villegas, on top of going for Ogilvy Image

Well Els certainly had a good second round!

Not sure about a Sat Sub given Els, D Johnson and Stricker are all in contention. Guess most of you will be in the same boat. Interesting that Garrigus (9/2), Petterson (6/1) and Byrd (7/1) are the lowest odds given the quality of the pack chasing them.

Villegas DQ was typical USGA, a viewer rings up, they review the video (ok he did move the divot while the ball was rolling) but DQ him the following morning!

Yes, the Sat sub is a tricky one this week :?

See in League 1 last year, you picked the winner for your Sat sub 9 times Colin  (joint best in the league).

What's your hunch?

Real tricky though, as my 3rd guy is Scott, and a couple of 64's would put him right up there :?

What do you reckon Peoples, what shall we do????

As far as you're concerned, Colin, you've got to stick with Els, Strick and DJ, haven't you?

Let's hope the FISO selections do as well again tonight. Out of all our players, I had the worst performing (Furyk), and he shot -5 for the round!

48 teams Shaun?

either this game "seems" profitable... or you must think it's "easy" to win

It's a very difficult one isn't it Toffee although the question I'm asking is what is everybody else doing :?: 25 people in the High Stakes league picked Appleby so I think most will be shifting him out.

Only one person picked Garrigus & if I remember correctly he was leading a tournament by a few shots last year before imploding in the final round. Also it's his first time here whereas Petterson & Byrd have played here 3 times with neither challenging for the win.

Last year I subbed out Stricker for Glover only for him to have a shocking final round & Sabbatini came from down the pack to almost win. Having looked at Scotts scorecard yesterday he bogeyed 3 holes so his -6 could have been better.

edit- sorry it was the final hole in the St Jude where Garrigus imploded, shooting a triple bogey 7.

If I had Scott would probably sub him for Pettersson / Byrd, think Garrigus will fall away. Odds of 80/1 tell you what Scott's chances are realistically in a low scoring tournament.

Will be sticking with my current Els, DJ, Strick line up and no doubt have to waste a mulligan on Garrigus (or Scott!) tomorrow :P

Went with Garrigus. He absolutely loves the place (spent honeymoon there for example). Plus his length is massive advantage especially if no wind like yesterday. Also since his triple bogey when 2 clear going down the last, he has won to qualify for this.

I like the tactics from Team Tiger this week. Subbed out Kuchar for Furyk & then uses a Mulligan to remove D Johnson & bring in, wait for it, Matt Kuchar

Back to old habits and used up my first mulligan in week 1 :( on Byrd :P

Dropped Els rather than Dustin which was also a bonus.

Certainly a frustrating week for me in the High Stakes. :(

Brought in Appleby (Sat sub, pretty much a no brainer I thought regardless of how well or badly I expected him to do) to add to Kuchar & Rose. So starting Sunday I had the top 3 in the betting. They play average to poor & a very average week for my team.

I was thinking of certain scenarios like your 3 starters play well & start Sat & Sun in around 5th position. Then on Sunday they fall away and end up just outside the top ten. This scenario would likely present a much worse outcome than having 1 player miss the cut !!

Just trying to think out loud. Maybe somebody will mention something I hadn't thought of.

All I know is that if I wasn't wanting Kuchar to do well he would be making putts from everywhere & smiling all over the place.

Two weeks gone and two mulligans used up in High Stakes already

Can see I will run into limited selection problems already, having selected nine players already. Then again at last year's US Open that forced me into picking McDowell :P

I share your pain Trickster

After 2 rounds I had Rose/Campbell/Stricker.

Stricker was the worst performer, but was only 6 off the lead (I think).

Thought long and hard about swapping him out, but decided a couple of 64's would get him close.

Alas a mediocre 3rd round from all three left me staring a really poor week in the face. :(

Went for a mulli, gambling on Wilson holding onto his 1 shot lead :D (took Stricker out, who ironically finished above Campbell and Rose  )

Used to keep my mulligans back until someone was close to a dead cert, but beginning to think you should use them to attempt to avoid having a really crap week instead!

When MU Fan won League 1 last year, his worst weekly position was 86th out of 125

One of my picks this week - Kevin Streelman

So far
1 Eagle
12 Birdies
0 Bogeys

You would think he would be doing well.

4 Doubles so far !!!!!

Crazy

Shaun, I had Moore in my top League 1 team so you are not alone.

So who had even heard of Jhonattan Vegas before this week? 7th on the Nationwide Tour last season, so he must be a good player, not sure he is / will be far enough ahead to justify a Sat Sub though?

Have you guys been tracking how the courses have been playing, do any of the leaders have the easiest / hardest course to play on Saturday. Not sure the bookies will go into that amount of detail, but we obviously need to :P

5pm deadline for subs / mulligans this weekend.

Oh yes, miles behind so I drop him for Overton.

Cue -10 for Haas and an even par round for Overton

Still top three in High Stakes :) , but tumbled from 4th to 31st in League 1

Tiger back playing this week, guess he may well be the number one selection in both leagues even though he will be rusty :P

Managed to escape the dreaded 'dropped winners' club Shaun (but only just) 8-)

I'm a double member after dropping McIlroy and Mahan last season.

Cheers Colin.
