PREMIERSHIP PREDICTIONS KNOCKOUT CUP 2008-9

The second of this season's individual cups is now upon us

To enter - you need to sign up for the Knockout Cup 2009-10 minileague:

You'll need to go to the FISO Goals site section of FISO:
- click the 'fiso Games' logo/link at the top of most pages.
- select FISO Goals
- Click 'My Mini Leagues' on the left of teh new page
- enter the following into the 'Join a Mini League' boxes:
League ID = 14
Password = [password changed as entry closed]
- click the box marked 'Join'

Entry now strictly limited to 64 on a 'first come, first served' basis

If we don't get 64 the deadline = Friday 16th October, noon
May slip back a few hours if I know I'll be around to do a later draw.

You won't have to do anything extra to participate in this cup other than enter as explained above and then do you regular 'FISO Goals' Premiership Predictions for the league.

HOW IT WORKS

This and my other cups are effectively informal/unofficial side competitions run by me using scores in the formal/official FISO Goals competition created by Bristol Developments for FISO (which has replaced the informal/semi-official Premiership Predictions comps run by me and thelip in recent years).

All ties will be knockout over two legs, home and away. Away goals counts if there is a tie and then usual tie-breakers. Other than the byes for the first round, all draws will be totally random using the black bag with Kylie and one other special (but not as special as Kylie) guests doing the draw each week as per previous seasons.

SETS/DATES
Sets 9/10 (starting 17th Oct), Round 1 - Last 64
Sets 11/12 Round 2 - Last 32
Sets 13/14 Round 3 - Last 16
Sets 15/16 QFs
Sets 17/18 SFs
Sets 19/20 Final

QUALIFYING

If we don't get to 64 then there will be some byes. Byes will be awarded to the top scorers in the league after Set 8 (e.g. if we get 50 entrants the top 14 will get byes and 15th to 50th will fight it out for the remaining 18 places in the last 32. If there is a tie at the bye cut off the byes will go to the scorer(s) who have done best in the most recent week, then preceding week etc if still a tie.

Newcomers (FISO veterans and newbies alike) more than welcome - but you'll need to enter by the deadline to get into the draw.

As this is my own private comp, I'll be reserving the right to not admit or throw out anybody who doesn't treat FISO properly and doesn't post in good spirit. As a rule of thumb this will mean you are banned if you are on my foe list so essentially they'll just be troll-free.

Regret that I mucked up a bit last week on FISODAS when I submitted my team for all to see - me and computers are not the most compatable match you've ever seen! :oops:
