Normally at this stage of the year I am frothing at the mouth with anticipation of the new season and the FF games.
This year I can hardly be bothered.
It is not as if I had a bad year last year, far from it in fact as I won money with the Mirror, Sun and Daily Star.
Yesterday I entered a free team with the sun but I have not even looked at the player prices.
The sun dropping its 1st prize from 500k to 100k did not impress me but my general lethargy is hard to explain.
Does anybody else feel like I am at the moment?

I have perked up enough to read what people are saying about the launch if TFF and any changes but I am yet to look at the player list.

I thought it was just me because I've cancelled sky over the summer. Got mildly excited about the mail being launched but more caught up in other people's interest I think. Long time to go until the start of the season.

Multi entrants killed it years ago. Bigger wads higher place and all that. I search frantically for one team entries then find out I'm playing against aunties, fathers brother in laws, uncles-toyboy who happened to have the same family name as well as a slight numeric difference in the team names.
This is why I prefer a purer game like Tour de France where the ones who know the sport most still finish top. I'm looking forward with more anticipation for the Rugby World Cup and maybe the Championship football game where it's the more genuine player you come up against. I enjoy playing fantasy sports but NOT the MURDOCHs money maker ones. This season though my impartiallty has been destroyed by my gawd damn team reaching the Premiership

It's been nice to have a few weeks off this year as opposed to last season running straight from the EPL into the WC. Yes, a bit slow to get going again, I haven't looked at the fixtures yet let alone player lists.

One month to kick off, these next few weeks are going to pass quickly and preparation needs to be done, you know that you'll be kicking yourself in 3 weeks time if you haven't forced yourself to make a start.

Maybe it would be best if you took this year off from FF Terry

Seriously though I do agree with what you are saying, and I think it's down to the fact it seems on a downward spiral and that now I am grateful if a game just reappears each season, and when it does you know the prizes are almost certain to be lower than the year before.

Glad to know that there are other people feeling the same. No doubt I will get my arse in gear in a couple of weeks.
Could be the disappointment of the end of last season has got to me or the fact that as blessedbrian rightly states, the games do seem to be on a downward spiral.
One thing that does please me is the fact that the Sun are limiting people to 60 teams with no mini leagues.
This will mean that WDT should take no more than an hour per week to complete should I take up my full allocation of premier teams. This was a real balls ache last season.
